I was a bonehead and only bought one connector. I had to pay almost $20 for shipping to the U.S. so before I order more, I am just looking to see if anyone else wants some of these. I can ship them flat rate envelope (to you) when they arrive.

They sell for $15 australian dollars each, so figure about $26 US dollars plus shipping from Illinois?

Q&A:
Why do you want these? A: to upgrade your fuel pump to use heavy grade (8-10ga wiring) and bypass your stock connector.
Is that really necessary? A: Probably not. But I am copying Savington's build for the most part, and it's the most elegant solution I have found thus far.
Can I source these parts locally for much less money? YES (Probably). The problem is I haven't found a supplier that can verify that the internal components to this bulkhead connector are e85 compatible. If you can find a source for all the parts locally I would be happy to cancel my order and buy through you. Heck, I'll even pay the same price and not pay to ship them from Australia.
When will I be placing my order? A: How about Sunday the 11th of February? I will commit to waiting that long. If a significant number of people are interested I will make two orders but if nobody expresses interest I won't wait any longer than next Sunday.
When will I expect to receive my parts? A: I had my last shipment sent via international post which took seven days from the time of my order to arrive at my post office. Add a day for me to get my shit together and figure a couple days on top of that for the part to arrive wherever you are. Figure just under two weeks from when I place my order? I think I can hit that number.

I’ll go in for a pair. PM me when you know the final price you need.

So you need a pair of these for one fuel pump? Also it might be ben facial to post a direct link to Savington’s post.

Thanks!

Dam, looks like I need to machine a few dozen chunks of delrin with little o ring grooves.

Easy enough for sure. I can see some easy improvements at the same time.

As I mentioned in my original post, if you have a source for the same materials I am more than happy to buy stateside. I just don't have the time nor the expertise to source or fabricate it myself.

Ok, so it's more expensive (but not per fastener). How does this look as an alternative?

Electrical Bulkhead Stud Kit, 6 Pack

If I use that connector instead I can offer two people a pair for $20 plus shipping?
EDIT: Already ordered. Bahurd, if you want a pair of the radium bulkhead studs let me know.

One of the requirements for the Radium studs: Material Thickness: 0.262"-0.322". Hard to use out of the box for a Miata tank.

the other thread had another idea

They sell others, for thinner material.

But I just bought one of these Racetronix tank harness, I am sure someone is going to tell me that I shouldn't have ...

Yeah, I saw that. I wasn't sure what the thickness was on the Miata fuel pump hangar(?). I figure I can find a way around the thickness thing. If not I can just donate them to a friend who has a fabrication shop and he might be able to use them at some point.

miata2fast 02-05-2018 08:36 PM

If only you made this thread a month earlier. I already received mine at like 40 bucks.

As as far as thickness, I plan to weld washers on the topside of the hanger assembly to put it in the desired range.

mrmonk7663 02-05-2018 09:10 PM

This might be an option too. Bulkhead fitting it can be bored out slightly to accept 10gauge wire or tefzel wire if desired.
