This is an awesome deal, and it's the complete kit:
Disc
Pressure Plate
Throwout Bearing
Pilot Bearing
Alignment Tool
I just got a better deal on something sturdier, and had been holding on to this, mainly just to use the alignment tool, and wanted to sell it complete.
I still haven't used the alignment tool, and will just have to live without since I'm hella strapped for cash.
It will work well, but will have on/off clutch engagement like a light switch. Great if you like to get going fast, but I still take SO for sunday drives...

2 questions: Is it used or still in the box?
Also, is this thing legit, like does it last as long as a known brand one and handle the power they claim it does??
Ready to buy it right now if it's not gonna fail prematurely and will hold up to 250 whp.

Should handle the power.
Torque is what you're worried about, not horsies. Let's assume you're making those 250whp at factory peak power point of about 6000rpm, and also assume 15% drivetrain losses. This means that at the flywheel, you need to transfer a load of about 252 lb*ft of torque. That's at about 88% of what this thing is supposedly rated for(286lb*ft), so you may be pushing it. This is all conservative calculations though, and I personally think you won't have a problem.
The point I was trying to make above though is that with these cheap puck clutches they take the cheap and easy road to handling high torque loads:
- Higher friction material
This means that the pressure plate exerts the nearly the same force as an OEM pressure plate, but instead of a weenie little disk, you've got metal pucks.
The other method of increased torque handling on a spinning disk is to increase the pressure, with a similar friction coefficient. This is what ACT and the others do, resulting in engagement characteristics similar to the OEM clutch, but able to handle more power. Pedal feel may get a little stiffer, but it won't throw your girlfriends head back every time you forget which 1/2 inch the friction zone is in.
This clutch will engage abruptly, possibly violently. I don't know personally, but I read a bunch of junk patsMX5 posted, and took his word for it. As an engineering student it makes sense.
My wife occasionally rides in my car, and she's already got enough **** to bitch about...so that means someone that doesn't care about smooth engagement gets an awesome deal on a new clutch.
EDIT:
Btw, Dragon'sMaw has dibs right now.
