Extrude Honed Intake Manifold
 

I have an intake manifold for a 1.6 car that has been "extrude honed" (i.e, went through a process at a company named Extrude Hone) and cleaned. I am sure many people in forum know all about it, but just in case, Extrude Hone is a company that specializes in smoothing metal components using an abrasive liquid that is forced through the part under high pressure. The result is that material is removed exactly where it would provide resistance to flowing air or exhaust. This process can add up to 20hp at this stage.

To give you an idea on their prices, see the link below. I think for a 4 cylinder car it is $495 if you send your manifold, and would probably cost shipping back and forth.
