Letting you guys know I will be getting in some black gel coated NB and NA type 2 flares this week. $300 a set for the holidays.

Also, if anyone has a RX7 FD we have flares in production, we just need someone with a clean 7 to take pictures with them on. $200 and pictures of the flares on the car for a set(could even be with double sided tape and uncut fenders, I just need to find a clean one).

is that 260/300 shipped or plus shipping? Just wondering.

Tremiata 12-04-2007 02:53 PM

On the website it adds $25 for shipping.

Think I will be getting some since I have a rust issue on a fender lip that I can cut most of it out. That will give more clearance for the 16x8 rpf1s too.

Shipping is $25 for all the flares

What is the difference between standard and gelcoat? I am a novice on the topic. Thanks.

Betrayed 12-05-2007 10:56 AM

standard is a white gelcoat, the black gelcoated ones are polished for those that don't plan on painting the flares immediatly.

miatamania 12-05-2007 12:48 PM

how much of a PITA is it to remove the black before paint?

Tremiata 12-05-2007 02:24 PM

Dont think you would have to remove it, but you should use a good epoxy primer and maybe an adhesive additive or flex agent.

all fiberglass work has a gelcoat on it. It has the UV protectant in it. Its what looks like white primer on all the body kits in production.
