Flipside Intake Manifold and matching throttle body q45

10 Attachment(s)
This will only work with 99 or newer heads.

Custom Flipside intake manifold for sale.
I never used it because I decided to go V8, bought it like it sits from another member here. Comes with some bungs that need to be welded.
It looks very beefy and well made, set up to work with a Q45 throttle body.
The runners are a work of CNC art!!!

This manifold is for those who want to make a lot of power, you do not need this for 300whp goals.

You will need to modify the alternator bracket to make this work.

$350, negotiable on the shipping.

$300 plus shipping!

I'm surprised nobody has jumped on this. Seems like a great deal. If I had a built motor i'd be all over this. GLWS

Zabac 01-06-2013 05:52 PM

Yes, I agree, thanks!
To make it sweeter, I'd throw in the matching q45 throttle body for it.

The answer is simple: most here want lowend/midrange gains and this manifold is 100% for topend. I was tempted to buy it when Jay was selling it, and again now, but just cannot give up the lowend on a street car.

It is a VERY nice part though, and worth every penny. GLWS

Q45 throttle body...90mm thats a big boy.

GLWS looks amazing.

viperormiata 01-07-2013 02:55 AM

Top end glory.

Zabac 01-07-2013 02:58 PM

Its like VTAK Powah!
Someone buy this!

Zabac 01-07-2013 03:24 PM

100% correct, this is for top end gain.
My intentions were to modify it by making the runners longer and curve, just like JayL had in mind.
But going V8 changed my plans just a little bit.
Had I done that, this would be the nicest IM out there.

$300 shipped, includes t-body at that price.
Otherwise $250 shipped gets it.
T-body $50 shipped.

viperormiata 01-11-2013 01:11 AM

This is a hell of a deal. I wish my runners were that short.

Zabac 01-11-2013 09:41 AM

Thank you Sir!
I am not going any lower than this, period!
Somebody is getting a steal.

triple88a 01-11-2013 09:46 AM

What rpm is this suited for?

sixshooter 01-11-2013 10:14 AM

All of it.

From 5000 to... over 9000.

bcrx7 01-11-2013 11:47 AM

I already have the BEGI intake or I would be grabbing this! Q45 is 90mm TB? DAMN!

Zabac 01-11-2013 01:14 PM

You could always sell that namebrand BEGi I am sure... ;)

triple88a 01-11-2013 02:53 PM

what rpm is the begi suited for?

Full_Tilt_Boogie 01-11-2013 03:05 PM

There is not a direct relationship between runner length and rpm.
Longer runners will have a strong resonance at a few RPM ranges, shorter runners will have a weaker resonance at a larger number of RPM ranges. So with something like this you would lose the torque "lump" created by the super long runners of the stock manifold, but should gain everywhere else and on up to high rpm where the stock manifold is choked.

I have seen where going to a shorter runner manifold created a gain not only at high rpm, but also at low rpm. With some loss in mid range.

If I still had a miata Id be all over this.

triple88a 01-11-2013 03:09 PM

I am very tempted.

Zabac 01-11-2013 03:11 PM

Reality is most people on here are fine with the OEM manifold, those who are breaking over 300whp are at the limits of the stocker but still fine, if you want anything more, then you really need to look at a different manifold. As far as manifolds go, this one here is just an ass-raping beast!
