Default Flyin' Miata FM II turbo kit, only 400 miles on it

While Hustler was having his way with his kitty, I made off with his turbo gear. I'm selling my existing turbo kit to fund his kitty's sphincter rejuvination. It's a FM II kit, complete minus the hydra ECU because I don't want to spend money on a MS even if it is better. I am also keeping the injectors that shipped with the kit because they are in the car.

Otherwise the kit is complete from turbo to intercooler and tubing. It's doesn't have iconel fasteners, it has some sort of weird aircraft fastener and lots of safetywire (I bought the car and didnt choose parts so I dont know what specific bolts they are). I know everyone says you need those iconel studs or the turbo will fall off, but these have worked with no issues at all and i drive the car hard.

It's a track only car, it has about 10 track days on it ~40 miles per day so only 400 miles max on the kit. I've driven the car 5 seconds under the spec miata record at the track on Koni sport suspension and not had one tiny bit of problems with hardware loosening. I haven't touched the car or tightened a bolt on turbo hardware since i've owned it.

I'm only selling because I want to be like Hustler, only better looking and straight.

The kit is for a 1.8, it's on a 94 right now:

Flyin' Miata : Turbochargers : 1994-95 : 1994-95 FM II Hydra turbo kit

1990-05 FM II Hydra
Recommended boost level 12 psi (1990-97) / 10 psi (1999-05) for stock internals
Garrett GT2560R water-cooled ball bearing turbo
0.60 A/R compressor, 0.64 A/R turbine
15" x 8" x 3" intercooler
2.0" ID - 2.5" ID pipes from compressor to intercooler
2.5" ID pipes from intercooler to throttle body
ductile iron manifold
2.5" stainless steel downpipe
all pipes either formed silicone or polished stainless steel
Turbosmart recirculating bypass valve

The kit is on my car now and i will have it off in the next month or so and ready to ship, a serious buyer might motivate me to get it off quicker. The turbo is the GT2560R. I'm asking $2000. The dead bugs are included, no extra charge.

i don't have pics of the underhood handy, just imagine a GT2560R and you get the idea.

Are you willing to ship? Willing to sell without the turbo? I already have a GT2860RS sitting on my shelf that I was planning to use. Can't PM yet, have an email address I can contact you at?

I don't mind shipping, but i want to sell the whole kit at once rather than part out.

I guess I could just buy the entire kit and then sell off what I don't use if you don't want extra parts sitting around. Estimated shipping to 48226?

I'm not home right now. I can check later today or you can check rates from you to 75762 in Texas if you want to check now before I'm home. I don't have an account so it would be retail shipping rates ups or FedEx.

Oh I need to point out I don't use PayPal. Bank transfer is fine with me.

It looks like $40 depending on the size of the box I find.

Wow, that is much cheaper than I was expecting. Okay, I'll most likely want a few more pictures of the actual kit before committing whenever you get a chance to take those.

I'm actually from Canada so I'll have to double check that there won't be any issues sending funds online to an American bank (I don't see there being any issues).

Pending pics and how soon you can pull the parts, I can send a deposit before you start pulling parts and the rest when it is ready to ship.

Feel free to email me @ paulsulja [at] gmail [dot] com

I estimated shipping weight at 30 pounds, it could vary a bit, but i think that is a solid estimate.

I can't PM yet, but $600 seems like it'd be decent for a turbo with only 400miles on it.

I think that would work. OP: Do you want to split or have Smurf ship to me later? Is the turbo the same age as the rest of this stuff - looks a bit more aged than the mani - can we get a Hustler verification?

Sounds good to me. I can send a deposit for everything else at any time if that's how you want to do it.

all of the parts are the same age, not sure why you think the turbo looks older. all the stuff is from the same kit. I'll be in and out most of the day today, sorry for any delay in responding. shipping to two places will add to the shipping costs, i'll ship all the parts to whoever pays for the kit and you guys can work out any payment between the two of you.

for disclosure, there is a local guy supposed to be coming this afternoon to see the parts. i do have the turbo stuff for sale elsewhere, as of now the parts are available. if anything changes i'll update the thread.

You make that heat shield on the back by the master cylinder yourself?
