Free with caveats: PNP LS coil harness for SADForce setup

The final-ish design for the Flow Force PNP LS coil harness is ready to go to production, but we'd like a tester for the non-VVT 1.8 version. There are a couple earlier prototypes in use that worked out well, and we've* simplified the design to make it, well, more simple.

This is meant to match up nicely with the SADFab bracket and wires, and used LS truck coils for a complete plug and play package (SADForce... get it?)

What you get: a production sample Flow Force plug and play coil harness
What you will pay: $0.00 including shipping, although local (Monterey/SF Bay Area) would be preferred
What you need: A 1994-2000 Miata, SADFab bracket, plug wires, LS truck coils, and an MS3 to power it all (I stand corrected - any stand alone will do)
What you need to commit to: have everything ready to install and test when I send you the harness in 2 weeks or so, and have the time to install and test and give detailed feedback with pictures and stuff.

Any takers?

Do you have a harness in the works for a vvt car? Very interested. Have all sadfab stuff, just waiting on a pnp harness to be made available

I have all of the above except I am running MS2PNP, coils/singular bracket still in box waiting to install

Yes it will suit the '01-'05 harness and '89-'93 as well, however we want someone with a '94-'00 for a test fit.

Should note the ECU you are using isn't important.

I have a 2000 and have been wanting to switch to COP. This is the perfect incentive. I have LS coils but need to order the sadfab bracket. Provided I can have the bracket within the next two weeks if ordered today, I'm in. I emailed Sean from sadfab and waiting to hear back.
I live in FL but am willing to offset some of the shipping cost.

Not sure if you saw my PM, but you may be our lucky winner :) No need to worry about shipping costs :skid:

Just saw PM. Thanks Nigelt!

Sean is going to hook you up. Try emailing him again :)

Heard back from Sean. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they'll be getting LS brackets in for another month or two. There is a slight chance he may get me one sooner if a pending sale falls through. As a backup plan, I fabricated a quick mounting bracket solution that maintains the same SADFab bracket coil location. It's not nearly as nice but it's functional and will work until I get the one from SADFab. Let me know if this setup is still acceptable to you in the event I don't get the other bracket in time. Here are a few fit check pics...https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...250a199dbb.jpg

As long as the spacing and location of the coils are quite close to the SADfab locations, which it looks like they are, then we're good. I should have the sample to send to you in a few days.

jmb952 07-03-2018 11:15 PM

Great, thanks. Spacing should be the same and I tried to make the location as close as possible to SADFab's bracket based on all the images I found.

I installed and have been using the LS coil harness for a while now with no issues at all.
Now that I received my SadFab bracket, I thought I'd post some pics of the install. Harness fitment was great and installation was a snap.

Nice, thanks for the follow up. Looking forward to picking up a set of these once they're available.

Looks good! I love that bracket. Super tidy and functional-chic. I ran it on my car until I puller the turbo to pass smog.

I've got one production prototype for a VVT car. The only difference is the wire colors aren't right. Anyone who wants that one can have it for $30. The rest should be here in a week or so, and will be $59 for 1.8 cars and $69 for 1.6.

sweet, looks great!

I assume the harnesses will be put up for sale on your official website and/or announced here somewhere?

Definitely interested in a set.

Indeed! Announcements will be on our Facebook page, and new things get quietly posted to our website when they are ready for sale :)

I’ll take the prototype harness for my VVT Exocet. I need to start building up my stash of parts for the eventual/inevitable turbo build.

Would you care for then hand-deliver shipping option? Just as free, way more fun.
