cylinder spacing on 1.8 (BPT) is different than 1.6. they will not work.

Will this cam drop in on my VVT head?

Is it any better for boost than the stock 01+ exhaust cam? I found the specs for the stock cams here: http://www.solomiata.com/cams.html but am having difficulty comparing the specs.

rharris19 11-14-2011 11:12 AM

No it won't work with solid lifters.

Silentoreo34 11-15-2011 04:01 AM

So drop in for my 97 1.8? if so I think I may take them.

bogaut 11-15-2011 05:40 AM

yellowihss 11-17-2011 07:46 PM

Pardon my noob question, but why won't these work with solid lifters.

Would they work with shim under bucket?

macanha 11-24-2011 09:27 PM

which is the gain for installing those?

tottestad 11-25-2011 12:39 AM

I have PBT motor running with solid lifters and stock GTR version BPT cams. Seems to work just fine. But stock 99 cams are better with more lift. I suspect there may be issues going the other way more likely as in running solid lifter cams with hydraulic lifters.

So Im not totally sure if I should buy these. Im building a motor in the 300-400 hp range.

Would these be beneficial to me versus running the MSM intake cam and the stock exh one?

Paypal ready. I’d love to buy these if these are what I need! Thanks.

edit:feck nvm i have a 99-00 head.

JustinOMGWTF 12-20-2011 04:50 PM
