FS: COP setup

4 Attachment(s)
My tree blew over onto my car and totaled it, so now I'm parting it out completely. First up is my COP setup that I used with my AEM EMS (also for sale). It is set up for sequential. These are the common Toyota COPs that were recommended on this site a while back. Wires run back to stock ECU location and are shielded with braid. Stock ECU pins on the end, one for each coil. I made a connector that plugs into the stock coil connector to get power and tach. Has the right sized cap built into the harness. I also put a large connector inline so you can separate the harness from the car for easy installation. Uses stock toyota connectors. Let me know if you have any questions.

Asking $200.

I have a 90 with a 1.8 swap. A 2.0 11.5/1 built motor is almost finished. I have, but not installed an AEM. What will be required to make this work. Can any one describe what alterations will need to be made to my 1.6 harness.

Thanks

BTW I know I could probably research this, but that would take a while, and I would like to scoop this up if it will work without to much hassle.

If your running an AEM, I think this would be plug and play because it bypasses almost everything on the stock harness except the coil connector, which it uses for power and tach. If that connector doesn't fit, it would be 2 wires to splice. This would allow you to run full sequential ignition.

Well, I've got a 13 month old now so its just no longer practical. My wife was supportive of the Miata while it was in one piece, but now that its dead, getting a new one just isnt in the cards. I'll be getting a 2004 or 5 EVO instead.

My son absolutely loves riding in the miata. When the second one gets older, he probably will too.
They like working on it also. They come and lay under it with me, bang and poke around on the underside. Then they take my tools and drop then in the grass, for me to find while I'm mowing the lawn:vash:. No worries though, I'm glad they like cars.
