Do you happen to have any machines in the <3lb. category? Don't really care if it has an optical drive or an eight-core processor running at 30 terahertz, just looking for something that's small, light, capable of running XP, and easy on batteries. Dell D430 / X1, Fujitsu B3010D / P1510D, Sony TZ150N, something along those lines. No IBM / Lenovo machines (must have a touchpad, I cannot use the clitmouse).

screen size might help... ohh, and battery life? (approximation of the life on the battery right now)

Doppelgänger 02-09-2008 11:21 AM

screen is 14.1", battery is good. I charged it up and let it sit on and it lasted ~2hrs.

Is the battery similar to the one for the C610?

If so I hve 2 high cap 65wh batteries and 2 regular capacity batteries that will fit. 3 are in outstanding condition, 1 is brand new. I also have AC chargers, CDRW drives, 3.5" drives, zip drive, some other stuff for it.

I believe it is, it's a front insert battery.

Just checked, it is the same battery.

bump.... $250

I'll just chime in and say that I had three Latitude C-class machines at work over the course of about seven years (I'm now using a D630) and they are really nice machines. The USB port is only 1.1, however they have built in RS232 and 2xPCMCIA, the screens and keyboards and very nice, and you can run parallel batteries in them- two batteries at the same time, hot-swappable.

Yea, I sold my C600 and bought an M700. That C600 was a really nice laptop, and running 2 high cap batteries at the same time allowed me to datalog and tune the Hydra for a long time without charging, as in several hours long.
