It's one of these things: http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/l...irt-p-167.html

A few months ago I had great plans for getting this thing suction cupped to my front window and hacking around on the firmware, but I got lazy. It also includes a ram mount to stick it onto the windshield. I powered it up at some point and it worked just fine.

one of my friends from college designed this unit for his sr design project and went on to sell it to DIY. Its really a cool toy!

That's pretty sweet, I wonder how hard it is to hook that up to a AEM EMS?

From what I remember it runs all on serial protocal and a lot of crap I dont understand. It communicates thru the megasquirts serial cable, so its not like you can just plug inputs into it. It is MS specific.

any idea if it works on mspnp? I just emailed diyautotune.

orion4096 08-30-2010 10:10 PM

Yup. mspnp generally runs either ms1 extra or ms1 extra hires. The display device takes usb so you just need to have the right serial to usb converter - the same one you would use for a labtop usb port.

I was looking at the video's, just undecided on the gauge layouts...How many can you have displayed large at one time? Race car setting :)

orion4096 08-30-2010 11:37 PM

The video covers most of them I think. You can always create your own if you know how to program and can figure out their source code.
