FS: FCM bilsteins
2 Attachment(s)
SOLD. I'd prefer a local sale (Sunnyvale, CA), but am willing to ship if no one local is interested.
Includes: - either 500/300 or 750/450 springs (not both unless more $$$ is involved). - new (uncut) and old bump stops. These came on a car I bought ~1 year ago with 500/300 springs. The shocks are valved for that spring rate. I'd guess they've seen about 2500 street miles and 7 track days. Worked fine when I pulled them off the car. The bump stops are older style from FCM so I bought a set of brand new bumpstops and spacers that are included for the buyer. Selling because I went to even stiffer springs and a different shock setup rather than getting these revalved. Options: a) Buy the shocks as-is with 750/450 springs. b) Buy the shocks with 500/300 springs which I'll mount. 1) Either of the above with the old bump stops installed. 2) Or I can cut the new bump stops as suggested by FCM and install them. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...1&d=1322078058 |
How much for just the 750/450 springs?
|
Is there much downside to running the 750/450 rates with the shocks valved for 500/300?
|
Yes. It's a bit better going softer springs than stiffer, than the springs the shocks were valved for.

The 750/450 worked reasonably well (I've never tracked a similar setup to compare against), but the car turned into a dedicated track car which made me go with something with higher rates that can also be lowered a lot more to work better with my aero. I've driven nearly identical shocks as the ones for sale with 500/300 at Laguna Seca on a street turbo miata and they were fast. A big bonus is they are very comfortable on the street. These wouldn't be for sale if I still had my street driven miata.

What are the top hats that come with them?
|
Looks like they are sold.

Damn, bad timing for me, lol.
