I think a lot of people are comparing this to the Enthuza setup for that kind of money.

mcsinc 06-05-2009 04:50 AM

I've seen the Enthuza systems, and they are great, but they are less expensive for a reason. I think the FM welds, etc. are one step up.

Enthuza 06-05-2009 10:07 AM

You may have see an old Enthuza system before I took over. I doubt the FM exhaust compares to the welding on My systems. FM (thermal) uses mig welding on their exhaust systems. I use the TIG process which produces a much smaller, lighter welds with much less heat distortion than other welding processes. I also purge all my exhaust systems with argon to maximize the flow of exhaust gas by eliminating the sugaring, and other contaminates inside the tubing. Enthuza exhaust systems are less expensive because you are buying directly from me, the owner, not some third party with associated markup. Jason.

But they aren't polished to a mirror finish! ;)

That's why the Roadster sports are crap....they grind all the finish welds away and blow through in about a year.
TIG makes for the best beads, and why you want to grind and polish what is already ART is beyond me.

Enthuza 06-05-2009 11:07 AM

Machismo is right. I have seen too many welds fail because of the grinding and polishing. It looks good until you bolt it on the car and drive it in the rain. Polished intake, Cam cover, heat shield, or air box looks great and lasts a long time under the hood, but polishing an exhaust system never really made sense to me.
