Default Devils Own Water Injection Group Buy

Thanks everyone who participated. I think this went pretty smooth as far as Group Buys go. I had so much interest I am starting another one for the month of November. Here is the link to the new Group Buy thread. https://www.miataturbo.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5436

Andy actually already paid

The SRT I talk about in my above post. He runs a Gt3076R at 20 psi. His ecu allows 30 degrees of advance under boost with the water vs 24 without it. His intake temps stay at ambient on long 4th gear pulls on hot days.

On the controller there, are the numbers on the left (2-12) for when it starts to inject? Just trying to find more info on the progressive controller. I looked at the site for just a sec, and the forum for a sec too.

BTW, $265 is a rockin deal, nice group buy. If I had the money......

Yes that is how it works. Also....you can start with a basic kit and add a controller later. The Neon I talk about uses a basic kit.

Its gonna be funny when someone running a Greddy setup with no timing control picks one of these up. I have a feeling that running 8-10 psi without pulling any timing may be possible.

I am not quite sure what you mean by "How would it be good?"

Lower intake temps, being able to run more boost safely, carbon free combustion chambers. I did some more research.....Apparently the SRT4 Mopar Stage III ecu has a high octane mode to utilize race gas that bumps the boost and timing. People are able to use it while running 91 octane and water injection. Volkswagen 1.8t guys.....we have all heard about how much they gain from just a chip. A few of the tuners offer a race gas map that you can switch to for when you go to the track and have access to 100 octane. People have been able to utilize this mode on pump gas with water injection.

As far as mounting the components goes......I would tap the factory washer fluid reservoir. The pump could be mounted anywhere you can fit it under the hood...or maybe up in the wiper cowl. You could also use one of the larger reservoirs that Devils Own offers and mount the tank and pump in your trunk.

I dont run a greddy kit but will most likely be buying a greddy map sensor for use with my emu. The website does not have a model of the progressive controller that is specifically compatible with a 4 bar map sensor which i believe the greddy sensor is. What are my options for the group buy with that in mind? Would the controller work?

Unfortunatley it will not. Give a basic kit a try and see what you think.

I found a great link with water injection info.

I also wanted to add that Water Injection was banned from F1 and WRC for being too effective.
