Fully Built 1.9L Motor
I've tried this before, here's another attempt. $3500
1.8 litre Jap spec GTX motor borred out “40 over” to 1.92L, Wiseco turbo pistons, Crower H rods, ARP head and main studs, stage 3 ported head and heavy duty valve springs, RC Engineering 550cc injectors, completely balanced rotating assembly, PSITech stand alone engine management system with realtime display of EGR, boost, coolant temp, intake air temp and A/F, VF8/10 hybrid turbo with internal wastegate, Front mounted intercooler painted black for stealthiness, dyno sheeted proven 300+ whp, Greddy Type S BOV I built this thing to handle 450whp. I made a really bad choice of turbos and after everything was tuned I didn't want to spend another grand one the turbo and whatever else on tuning. Know that this motor will handle it though. Make some offers, this thing is taking up space in my basement. -Edit- Forgot to mention, price does not include shipping, although I have found a company that is pretty cheap for that within North America. Oh yeah, AND I live in Grande Prairie Alberta. |
sounds like a steal to me, good luck!
|
the 323 GTX motor, same length as the stock Miata motor?
Only asking, because I want to make sure my intake manifold will bolt up. Also, would you be willing to part this out? I need the block/head, but don't need injectors, engine management, turbo, or any of that stuff. |
I don't want to part it out. But make me an offer I can't refuse.
The two motors are the same size yeah. The exhaust manifold and oil pan will need to be changed. |
Unfortunatly I'm just looking for a built block, as I had to add another 2 quarts to the motor yesterday, I think i'm on my last legs, and the supercharger isn't helping any at all.
Also, what kind of work was involved with the "Stage 3" headwork? Oversized valves? 3 or 4 way port/polish? Also, what kind of quote would you get for shipping that bad boy down to florida? -meaty |
Shipping to florida will cost $450-500.
The Stage 3 heads had the following work done: 5 angle valve grind, heavy duty valves installed, 20% increase in flow numbers from PSITech's inhouse flowbench through extensive porting. A mild polish smoothening all edges but not enough to shave with, cause thats ricey. Special attention paid to port matching at all mating surfaces. |
PM'ed.
Also, this motor is ready to drop into a car, crank right up, and run an autocross? Let me know! -meaty |
Bump for some love?

this motor sounds badass
i wish i wasnt buiding my own and had the money to buy this one...sounds like a fuckig steal what OP gears are in it and what do you have for cams/cam gears? i'd be all over this if i wasn't a broke cheap mofo |
I'm not sure what you mean by OP...?
Cams/cam gears are stock Mazda 1.8 Jap Spec GTX. As for ready to go, I'd probably want to put some oil in it, but yeah pretty much. It was running without any problems when I pulled it. |

where were you when I rebuilt my engine? I would have bought this instead...sounds like a great deal! Buy it someone!
|
This engine has been for sale in one thread or another on here since September ;)
As for the oil pump, stock 1.8 GTX oil pump gears, and in the 7 years I've owned this car and participated in the GTX forums, I've never heard of them being a problem. |
pics? Would you sell just the turbo kit? When did that turbo spool?
