The only reason it doesnt include a rollbar mount is no one makes a quality piece. Early failures are very common for some reason. |

Marcello,
Can you, or anyone else that may know, comment on whether the prop valve comes with the fittings/adapters needed to install it? The following text is from 949: Prop valve comes with 1/8 NPT to 3/8-24 IF female adapters and will not connect to Mazda brake system without our adapters. Mazda brake lines are metric 10mm x 1.0 inverted flare. The optional SuperMiata adapter kit includes one 10mm union and two 1/8 NPT to 10mm inverted flare adapters which allows you to install in 90-05 Miata without bending or fabricating custom hardlines. Fittings are all brass to insure a perfect seal without requiring over-torquing. |

I do know that 949 is really good at making it seem like they have a unique and superior product, then you open up the package, and its the same as what another vendor carries. If you ask Bill at miata roadster about 949, he will literally swear in the phone in anger about how many people buy from 949 despite the same part being less money in his site. Also, dont you have stock brakes? Why do you need a prop valve? |
The Wilwood prop valve comes with 2 brass fittings. But I know the TSE kit comes with his own fittings because iirc the wildwood ones leak and there aren't enough for the whole car. the TSE/949 comes with a fitting that joins 2 lines together. The 949 kit I assume is the same.
TSE fittings can be seen here: http://www.trackspeedengineering.com...valve-kit.html |

I think that's the one that you have, right Marcello? Not sure why the price is more than the 949 unit (with fittings), but it says that it comes with the fittings I believe. I'm just trying to make sure that you still have them because I don't think it's included in the wilwood packaging itself. Prop valves are helpful even on stock brakes afaik, so you get more use of the rear brakes and don't hit full lockup on the front. Edit: TSE kit uses steel fittings saying the brass ones are shiet. 949 uses the brass fittings. Unsure what the v8r kit uses. In general, I tend not to look things up on miata roadster since I find their layout and site organization disorganized. |
Sold the coolsystem, everything else still up for grabs!
