Garrett T28 (same as 2560)
So I picked up this turbo from a guy with a flyin miata 2 kit. He claimed it was a t28, but it is a t2560 (journal bearing). Should be good to make plenty of power (see Paul's charts). .48 AR compressor side, no markings on exhaust side AR but it looks like a .48. I will have more info on this once I run it by scott. No shaft play and spins freely. I do not need it as I bought a GT2871 the same day hah.

Since it's a journal bearing, it should technically be a T28....which would match the GT2560 specs of today's labeling. specs should match this:

its all in the size of the wheels. if it has a 60mm exducer, it's a t28.

Corky says its the turbos that Turbo Engineering corp. put together for them back in the day (this kit was an older begi/fm kit)
They were sleeve bearing turbos. They were labeled T28, but today’s specs are comparable to a GT2560. I'll double check the A/Rs and wheel measurement, but the compressor wheel already matches the size of the 2560 I posted..... |
