Are those produced up to any kind of safety standard?

cjernigan 01-15-2008 10:55 PM

Can he get a fixed back FIA approved seat? Something like the momo starts or sparco sprint. Including anti-sub holes. :)

$50 says they dont even fit in a miata

Sleeper_MX5 01-15-2008 11:26 PM

UrbanSoot 01-16-2008 12:46 PM

disturbedfan121 01-16-2008 01:05 PM

for 300 id rather not get an ebay brand seat....most major companies have entry level seats for 300

WOT is the place to be.. .WOT is the man to be...

its a song, sing it with a tune

corbeau forzas are around $200 shipped, less than $300 with rails
no point for reclinable seats in a miata

Try different fixed seats. The momo start is really confortable for me, the sparco ..ugh i forget.. not so much. Where as some of my friends think the start is horribly unconfortable.

They were really entry level Simpsons cause I didn't have much of a budget for safety left after the rest of the car..

What kind of cost are we talking about for the momo or sparcos?

UrbanSoot 01-16-2008 06:13 PM

sparco sprint are $300

My friend had a set of Tenzo R seats. They were HUGE. I contemplated taking them out of his car and putting them in mine while his car is down, until I looked at them again and realized that they would not fit. They hit the doors in his eclipse.. And thats a boat compared to a Miata. Don't remember what model seat, I think rally or something. Oh and the quality was horrible, the dye fades within a year or two, the plastic guides for the harness simply break apart. Sorry to shit on your group buy but I just don't recommend them.. His was not FIA homogulated either.
