Heavily Modified M62 Supercharger Setup
17 Attachment(s)
Located in Huntsville, AL. All prices are OBO.
I would consider trades on: Nice guns/ name brand optics High end Miata turbo parts, suspension or brake parts Low offset 4x100 wheels suitable for street use on a Miata with flares 15x10 Miata race wheels Motorcycles (anything but cruisers) This setup came off of Eric Anderson's SSM autocross Miata (the fastest Miata at SCCA Nationals in 2012 and 2013). The head unit has one season on it since being rebuilt and (wildly) ported by High Speed Lab in Imperial, MO (see below for in-process and finished images of the rebuild and porting). The head unit began life as an Eaton M62 with an external bypass valve, which makes it possible to port the case inlet more effectively than would be possible on a standard MP62, plus it makes it very easy to swap to throttle-on-intake-manifold for improved idle control, drivability, and sounding like the end of the world. On a pretty mild BP with an Ebay header, this setup made well over 300whp on the heart breaker Dynapak at DIYAutoTune in Atlanta, and would put down over 350whp a Dynojet. For my asking price, I will include my modified Boig 4-into-1 header (31" long 1.75" primaries, merge collector, 3" v-band outlet, coated by Nitroplate; pics below), which will make significantly more power than that. Included: - High Speed Lab rebuilt/ blueprinted/ ported M62 head unit - Ported blower inlet manifold/ bypass valve housing, re-flanged for Mustang throttle body - Mustang throttle bodies (two, 70mm and 75mm) - Fabricated outlet manifold - Modified steel Jackson Racing blower brackets (lots of belt alignment adjustability) - TDR power steering lockout bracket/ belt tensioner - Overlay crank pulley - 2 nose pulleys - Intercooler/ piping - Honda intake manifold re-drilled for Miata throttle body, and flanged for 99-05 Miata head - JR Miata dummy throttle body https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1408921399 $3800 |
Interested in header if you end up separating the items.
|
I'd separate if there was interest in everything from several people.
For the record, I realize that this is a lot of money, but 1.) I've turned down offers for this much while I wasn't interested in selling it 2.) I don't have to sell it, and may end up keeping everything 3.) Most significantly, it has racing pedigree. Eric (TNTUBA) have been very fast on these parts. You could bolt this stuff to a Miata with enough chassis and run at the front of the pack at literally any autocross in the country. |
Sweet setup, not a bad price imo considering all the work that has gone into it, that header is awesome too! :)

Any interest in trading for my turbo parts?
I can't send PM's yet (mostly a lurker on this board) but I recently purchased my 1999 NB that came with a 10ae 1.8l that was bored .030" with forged pistons and rods. It has a FM turbo manifold, a Greddy TD05 18G turbo, manual boost controller, intercooler, water/meth kit, and a HKS Super SQV blow off valve. I have been daily driving the car on 15psi and the only problem I have had was blowing off an intercooler pipe due to a bad hose clamp which I replaced. I was planning on taking everything off this winter and installing a FFS supercharger but if you are interested at all let me know. Thanks |
I might be interested. PM sent.
|
hi would you sll me the intercoolr piping only?
|
Miata m62
Hello, I am interested in the M62.I have a M45.If you would take it on a part trade even if you didn't need it.I would not need two.I would need help installing it.I have GUNS lots of GUNS.I live in AL.I know the M45 is not worth near as much.Let me know if you are interested. Thanks, Billy
|
I might sell the intercooler plumbing if everything else were claimed, but it's pretty application specific, and i don't think you'd really want it.
Bilycl, pm me a phone number and I'll text you. |
Miata
Hello, I was checking to see about the supercharger. Thanks, Billy 205 753 3050

Price drop.
$2700 w/o the header. $3300 w/ the header. |
Wish I had the money for the header, sure is nice, :)
|
All of it is nice. I wish somebody would take it off my hands.
I kind of bought a Corvette last week, so I'm a lot more motivated to sell than I was originally. |
Someone should jump all over this. This setup won several SCCA National tours, many National Event Trophies, 2 Solo Nationals Trophies and countless regional and local FTD, FTP and Class wins.
I'm the guy that built and engineered the set up. If you buy it and need help I will be more than happy to help you out. |
Thanks for the endorsement, Eric!
|
Still available? What would I need to do to make this fit a 94? What engine management were you using?
|
Still available. Will bolt right into a 94. It was run on a Megasquirt.

Interested but probably out of my price range. Running a stock MP45 and while the little added torque is nice, it's just not enough. |
I don't have the MS map, or I would be happy to give it to you.
PM me if you're serious. I'm pretty motivated to sell. |
I'm interested, but I can't PM yet. Shoot me a PM with your email or phone number so we can discuss.
|
I can't PM yet either.
|
Nice setup wish I could buy it glws
|
The MS map for this setup was a specific tune for a high compression built motor running race gas. While I still have the MS files, they would be way to aggressive for stock motors or anything other than C16 fuel.
|
Actually, yes. I was going to bump all this stuff this week, and just hadn't gotten to it yet.
|
Um... I swear there was another post in there...
|
Sale pending on blower stuff. I still have the intake manifold and header if anybody wants to make an offer.
|
Talk about the header some more. Compare it to the old Jackson Racing header (which is what I have now, as it was the only one that would fit with a hot-side supercharger).
Edit: Wait, this is a header designed for the NA, not NB, right? |
It fits either chassis, but it doesn't bolt to either exhaust. You'd have to make your own connector pipe or fabricate the entire exhaust.
It's a Boig road race header designed for GT and E Production cars. It has 1.75" diameter 31" long primaries. Both larger in diameter and length than any off the shelf headers. With a high compression motor with a lot of cam and head work it should theoretically make significant power throughout the rev range over a Jackson or Racing Beat. I cut up the collector and repurposed it for a 3" exhaust, so it should now make significant power over any off the shelf header on a supercharged application, but may leave power on the table through the midrange on any but the wildest BPs. There may not even be BPs wild enough to really make use of it NA, actually. Having said that, it makes a pretty significant seat-of-the-pants difference with a 3" exhaust compared to a stock manifold and 2" Borla exhaust on a mild BP, but that could be perception. The coating has about 20k miles on it, and isn't as pretty as it was in the pics any more. I planned on sending it back to Nitroplate, but one thing led to another and it just hasn't happened yet. It's not terrible, it's just not super shiny any more. |
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm out, as I would switch only if someone had a plug-n-play header that was better than mine.
|
I actually have a pretty cool 3" shotgun exit exhaust with titanium mufflers that would be plug and play on an NA. You would have to get hangers added/ modified for an NB, though. And you would have to cut your bumper and the plastic bumper beam either way.
|
Fast shipment on the manifold!!! Good luck selling the header!!!!
