Honda motor as above w/ manual trans and A/C compressor. Don't know anything about it, other than

it looks like a b18b from the 2nd gen. You should be able to find it on the side of the block.

Wow, this is quite bizarre for me. When I was in college, I had an '87 CRX Si that I wanted to perform an engine swap on. The most obvious choice for that chassis for someone lacking serious funds is this engine, which as stated, is from the 1G Acura Integra.
This engine bolts right into the 1G (84-87) CRX, as well as the 3G (again, 84-87) Civic. So, it shouldn't be too difficult to find a prospective buyer if you find that crowd. Unfortunately, with the later chassis Civics getting cheaper and cheaper, these early ones aren't so desirable any longer. Anyways, I looked all over the Atlanta area for one of these back in 2002, and ended up picking up a POS example. Had this been available back then, I would have jumped all over it. |

FWIW, back in '02 I purchased a salvage titled '87 Integra with a "rebuilt" D16A1 for $600 at a place in Marietta.
Given that I don't know the market demand, I really don't know what you could get for it; although I would think something like $250-300 would be reasonable. I'll bet that if you posted a thread on the Grassroots Motorsports $200x challenge forum someone would jump all over this to build a challenge CRX/Civic. |

Ben For pricing, here's what I paid for Honda parts when I drove Hondas, to give an idea: '89 Integra: $100 D16Y8: $50 (sold for $150) D16A1 pistons: sold for $100 D16A6 w/ trans and ECU: sold for $250 B16A w/ trans and other swap parts: $1400 |
Put it up on redpepperracing.com (84-87 Crx forum) It's a black top so it should sell for a little more than a browntop (86-87 teg).

That is from a 88-89 intergra, the 86-87 d16a1 had a brown top IIRC. Fun and easy swap into the PGMFI 84-87 CRX, These motors are reliable forever...

that motor commonly goes for 300-500, depending on where, and what condition
i used to be big into hondas, had a swapped one myself that motor is called the d16zc , its a dohc non vtec not to be confused with the z6 which is sohc vtec found in del sol si and civic si The DOHC ZC has rougly 130 hp and will bolt into almost any civic under the year 2000 sell it for like 450 :) |
