Konig Helium + Toyo T1R (for Miata) - $400 (Centerville)

Craigslist, no affiliation. Nice street setup for cheap.

FOUR HELIUMS mounted and balanced with FOUR TOYO T1R 195/50/15 Ultra High Performance tires, a full set of our popular McGard Spline Drive Lugs and hubcentric rings for a perfect fit on your Miata.

These are all black (no polished lip) and have 5-10K miles on them. I sold my Miata last summer and these are just taking up garage space. They are in perfect condition.

The following link accurately describes the entire package I purchased from them (except color).

Mazda Performance Parts: Konig Helium SPECIAL #1....FOUR 15x6.5 Heliums in Silver mounted and balanced with FOUR TOYO T1R 195/50/15 tires, and McGard spline drive lug set, for the Miata.

Man, I wish this was a few weeks ago.

Exactly what I was looking for, exactly my price, and in driving distance.

Will just have to be content with my heavy Panasports.

EDIT:

Haha...nevermind, I think that's in Ohio. We have a Dayton and Centerville both on this side of Texas.

Wait, what? What happened to the NB 16's?

I got tired of the super-baller twisted blades.

Wasn't really a look I liked...tires were rare in that size and expensive, and I adjusted my power goals.

I'm digging larger sidewalls, all-season rubber (especially recently), and the fact that I can walk into any Discount Tire and they'll have my exact tire and size in stock for about $50.

The traction WAS nice, but honestly it put the performance envelope much higher than anything I could possibly begin to explore on the street.

Picked up some Panasports uber-cheap locally, and got an online deal on some of the newer model Ziex. They really are nice tires, even before considering price, treadwear, and poor weather traction. I think these are where the older Azenis were in terms of performance, and they're cheap enough to replace when they heat cycle to death. I drive enough highway I should see the mileage before they get hard though.

I like the look of the Panasports. Wouldn't mind something a little wider, and with a little more lip, but I'm done spending money on wheels/tires. And my next visit to tire shop will be $250, not $600.

Car definitely looks better on the Panasports, it's a rare 16" wheel that looks right on an NA.

Thanks. They look like cheap plastic covers when they're rolling, but is sharp standing still.

I may paint the centers graphite and polish the lip to give more contrast when in motion, and so the spokes don't look like they're 1" outside of the tire (they are).

This, shoulda listened to everyone...oh well. I only found pics of red ones online, and they look decent on a red. Too much contrast with black, and made the body look undersized.

Just had a friend pick these up for me and ship them my way. haven't recieved them yet but my friend said they're in great shape.

I assume the M&B job I did on the wheels is good. :) Glad to hear they found a good home.

I"m on the hunt for some cheap light 16x7s again LOL...I need them for free tires from a friend (for track use).

Hey David!

The mount and balance has been great. The wheels don't feel nearly as heavy now that I'm on a Tein setup, and I'm still loving the looks.

I don't even know why I keep looking for lighter wheels. May make a difference...but I've got a whole $400 invested in my wheel/tire setup right now, and each visit for tires every two years will be a little over half that.

I would recommend anyone local that orders their tires online to hit David (miata_racer) up for a mount and balance. Cheap, reliable, quick and nice.
