Lincoln Electric Invertec V100-S DC Stick/Tig welder with pedal mod

I'm selling my little Lincoln Electric inverter welder. Runs on 110V, 100 amp output, DC only. It works great. I've used it very sparingly, pretty much just to learn basic stick and tig welding, so I've only run beads on some flat plate. I've also modified it for a pedal to adjust the heat settings. The pedal is a plastic sewing machine pedal, and it works perfectly. The switch on the front panel allows you to switch between the pedal and panel knob to adjust the current. Everything works perfectly, I've only put maybe 5 hours of tigging on the unit with the pedal.

What you see in the pics is what's included. The list is the unit itself, an extra electrical outlet plug that Lincoln provided, the stick electrode holder, ground clamp, pedal, and manual. I even have the original shipping box the welder came in, so I can ship as necessary. Shipping cost is actual shipping from zip code 92647.

I'm selling it to add to my fund to purchase an ac/dc welder so I can start learning how to tig aluminum. I am asking 300$.

Please feel free to PM me or post. Welder is located in Huntington Beach.

does flooring the pedal give 100A, or does it give the maximum set value? does it have gas control? is it scratch start (for TIG)?

I have no way to measure the amperage for sure, but comparing 100A on the panel to 100A on the pedal, yes they're very close. Basically what I did was put a duplicate pot as the panel in the pedal, so it should function the exact same, and linearly. There is no gas control, so you'll need a 2-piece torch, which I can include at an extra cost, it's the WP-17 off of welding-direct.com with the integrated gas flow valve. It's a scratch start tig, which isn't very hard at all for this unit, especially with the pedal. Lincoln Electric has some special hot start thing which ramps up the amperage just for striking the arc.

still available.

still available. I can also throw in the corresponding 2-piece tig torch (130 amp air cooled) that's ready to go with the machine for 30$ more.
