Mazdaspeed Miata RBH-5 turbo, manifold, and downpipe. Flyin Miata intake.

Up for consideration to be sold is my mazdaspeed miata turbo system that I have ran successfully on my 99 10th Anniversary. The turbo itself was purchased straight from Japan, has less than 7000 miles of use and is an extremely fast spooler. In terms of power, it is comparable to a Garrett GT2554R, so 230-240 horsepower is as much as you want to spin for without changing the compressor wheel and turbine.

I would be asking 500 dollars plus shipping for the manifold, turbo, turbo drain line kit (contains everything to do a turbo drain line kit comparable to BEGI, and turbo outlet, plus all heat shields...

Also for sale would be the flyin Miata mazdaspeed intake kit, minus the manual boost controller that I purchased new not long ago. Asking 200 dollars plus shipping for that.

stock downpipe?

Cody Strife 03-27-2010 12:38 PM

99-2000 naturally aspirated downpipe allows for perfect match with FM 2.5 midpipe. I know its hard to believe, but the geometries allow for it. You can use the entire stock exhaust on an NB with the Mazdaspeed miata turbo with cast outlet. Just unbolt the NB factory header and bolt this in place. Hard to believe, but its true and since there is no cat in the NB factory naturally aspirated downpipe, the 2 inch diameter downpipe to 2.5 inch exhaust lets this turbo spool extremely fast.

Hell word I here is the factory MSM exhaust downpipe flows damn good if you just cut the restrictive cat out...

500 dollars is not a bad deal considering your getting a nearly brand new IHI-RBH5 turbo...

so all i would really need is some sort of fuel management syatem and intercooler? correct to turbo my miata?

Cody Strife 04-02-2010 10:49 PM

Right you are, its a nice setup and an easy pain free step to a 200 rwhp car.

awesome my taxes are coming in within the month hopefully u still have this when they get here there is no modification needed for my car correct i think my engine is basically the same as the speed lacking the turbo, it has the 6speed tranni and all

Wow, I really want this.

I'll give you thorough step by step instruction to help you with your turbo installation. This is fine running little turbo and i'll even help you with bracketry for your intercooler installation.

Okay so let me see If I understand this correctly..

I've got a 99 CA spec. Are you saying I can use this manifold and turbo and the rest of the factory exhaust will bolt right up to it? Obviously I won't be keeping that exhaust forever but it would allow me to run some small boost while I save money for a proper exhaust. All the turbo lines are included as well? Intake pipes included?

If that is the case I'll take the whole setup plus the VooDoo (if you still have it) if you can do both for $700 shipped?

Is there anything else I'd need other than a clutch? What about an intercooler and bypass valve? Necessary at stock boost levels? Thanks.

Edit: I'm very interested but I can't send PMs yet, so it might be easier if you PM your e-mail address to me. Thanks again.

I'm keeping my MSM charge pipes and intercooler as they will be retrofitted to a BEGI setup; however these parts come up all the time. I've already sold the voodoo box, but I tell you what I will do... 650 dollars shipped gets you the turbocharger, manifold, cast iron outlet, compressor wheel outlet, flying miata intake, (that's 250 dollars shipped without MBC) and I will throw in the Mazdaspeed Miata 315cc injectors (they flow that much on 99-2005 since they run higher fuel pressure) that will let you safely run 9 psi with 4 degrees static retard.

Was this setup sold?
