This thing served me well over the 2 days I used it and all the hard work has already been done on it. This is great for low boost applications because of all the cracks and warped flange, and since it's stainless steel and tubular you know how ------- awesome it is. I'm looking for an address to ship it to, and I'd be willing to pay up to $15 for one although I'm def open to offers... Please no high balling though

Onto the mani:
I've actually precracked and prewarped it for you so you don't have to go through the trouble yourself!

You can see light through 4/5 here

Again, with this mani you can't run very high b@@st due to all the custom airflow but hey its Stainless Steel so that makes up for it.

Also open to trades for a hardtop, 6ul's but 15x9 only, brand new hoosiers, and possibly others

lmk

I was about to totally high-ball you but then I read OP and decided to not break any rulez y0

Jpopsbronco 04-17-2012 07:30 PM

LOL
just to clarify in anticipation to the flood of responses I'm about to get;
This is the same manifold that Faeflora and ajn597 or whatever are selling, mine just has the relief cracks i mean cuts already done.

oldgrayfrog 04-17-2012 08:36 PM

Yeah man these EBay tubular manifolds are pretty awesome, did ya see the ceramic coated one?

Joe Perez 04-17-2012 09:08 PM

Props for most hilarious for-sale description of a crappy manifold ever. :D

JoeTheZoe 04-17-2012 09:29 PM

Those relief cuts look like that new-school wastegate tech...Self-Actuating, Continuously Variable-Gate, or whatever its called.

Proven 100% efficient, as boost rises, so does pressure release...genius!

colincoon 04-17-2012 09:35 PM

So I DONT need a wastegate if I run this manifold?

Can I bondo in the cracks? If yes pay me $10 and it's a deal.

elesjuan 04-17-2012 10:03 PM

Why can't the china fuckers just use regular god damn steel tubing instead of this garbage stainless crap and build a semi-quality manifold? Shouldn't it cost less to use shitty mild steel than shitty stainless?

Stein 04-17-2012 10:46 PM

We need to keep this thread handy when the next noob asks if they are decent.

I'd still like to see if I could get one to hold together with my awesome welding skilz. I'd pay shipping to get this POS.

Faeflora 04-18-2012 12:36 AM

Hahahahah!!!!

Best for sale threads ever.

You know this almost looked like sched 40 pipe with the um bronzing.

18psi 04-18-2012 01:13 AM

stein you will probably end up spending as much metal wire for the welding as there is on the manifold.

No, you dont need a wastegate, the manifold is as Joethezoe said: Self-Actuating, Continuously Variable-Gated. For higher boost run more gaskets (less airflow) and less boost run fewer. I recommend no gaskets for maximum wastegate efficiency.

I don't know about bondo but I hear ceramic coatings work great :giggle:

Lol agreed

I love you guys

D1SKOOLBUS 04-18-2012 02:48 AM

This post was hilarious :P

99mx5 04-18-2012 04:58 AM

Awesome! I hear those pre-applied cracks are great for controlling boost creep.
GLWS!!

miatauser123 04-18-2012 08:50 AM

If this has never been tracked - CONSIDER IT SOLD!

why, it would cost more, they are probably selling just fine as is.

dliverance 04-20-2012 12:07 AM

I can fix those cracks with bondo right?

JB Weld.

18psi 04-20-2012 12:39 AM

ok serious question time: how stupid or un-stupid would it be to buy something like this, then cut off 1 runner at a time and weld in proper weld els following the same design and retaining proper positioning/fitment/etc.

Just a random half drunken thought.

A tubular manifold and a cast-iron manifold are travelling across southern Europe.

The tubular manifold manifold turns to the cast-iron manifold and asks "So, how's your French?"

The cast manifold replies "well, I'm a little rusty."

The tubular manifold says "Ha, you crack me up."

^^^Hahahaha

18psi 04-20-2012 01:19 AM

lolz

Jpopsbronco 04-20-2012 02:11 AM

Perez LOL

Dliverance see post #13

18psi: Thats actually why I got this in the first place, not to cut the runners off and replace, but to build a simple jig and use new flanges. I can do whatever the hell I want with the runners and as long as the jig is sold the turbo should be pretty close to s4 placement.

If you are thinking about hillbillying it (and its not actually that bad of an idea just kind of a lot of work.) you could cut and replace but I don't know what type of material the flanges are but the head flange was really warped lol

Back to the thread:
You might not be able to blow intake welds but you can
BLOW YOUR EXHAUST WELDS

triple88a 04-20-2012 05:34 AM

Can i get a down pipe of the same quality too pls?

Also can i get one of these for my intake side too?

nitrodann 04-20-2012 07:12 AM

Dam.

I heard blowing your intake welds was the only way to a ten second car.

Dann

Like I said earlier, I think the 6 year old chinese kid who welded this also does downpipes. you'd have to double check though on the intake because I don't know if they have enough aluminum cans to make the runners or not

h2kDotheDU 05-10-2012 02:30 AM

This manifold replaces the need for a blow off valve. There's no excess pressure, AND it probably still goes "whooooosh"! hahaha!

You first. Re-install header, insert as many individuals in your friend group or family as possible, and just stomp on the accelerator (don't shift, just ping off the rev limiter). Give results. :)

How did you know my autox technique???

EO2K 05-10-2012 04:20 PM

Is this still available?

Because I unfortunately see it happen all the time at auto-X events. People come out clueless about their car (Corvette drivers, usually), drive it on the track, stomp on the accelerator, then spin out, nearly taking out all of the cones and/or landmarks nearby. At the New Orleans track events by Zephyr stadium, there's light posts, and this guy with a 1996 Corvette drove out there and nearly wrapped his car around the pole (which might I add had a solid CONCRETE re-enforced base!). We all just watched in horror as he missed it by less than a foot. Let's just say he's probably not going to be back again. :giggle:
