There was no intercooler option on the early kits.

Sorry if I posted the wrong side

That sure looks like the hot side to me. Am I off my rocker, or is sonofthehill?

In for NA IC kit routing pics if they exist. Haven't gotten there yet, though.

My apologies sonofthehill. I thought I saw a couple posts after you showed it in your thread he mentioned seeing it to mock it up after yours. I knew it wasn't the mkturbo kit that you were using. As far as NA I can take pictures of how mine is routed. Might be a tad different based on how exactly yours is clocked. Give me a bit. Mine is a 1.8 btw

Here you go naval. Pretty straight forward. You may have to angle things different but it's pretty much the setup. I couldn't run the a.c. fan because of the intercooler piping out the throttlebody and my radiator is sitting out a bit and couldn't get it pushed forward enough. Hotside

There's 3 pieces of plastic you would want to cut if you're running Lars' kit and don't want to remove them completely. Each of the wheel liners need to be cut and the front air dam that connects to the bumper. Here's some pics for reference if anyone needs them.

You can definitely have a cleaner cut then mine. Specially for this front air dam. But eh I'm inpatient.

Does anyone have any tips for fitting the down pipe so that it won't rattle? When the car is cold it doesn't rattle but once it's hot it rattles at certain rpms. The most annoying part is that it rattles constantly on the freeway. I tried loosening the down pipe and rotating it more but it's right up against the transmission where it converts to 3".....

I'm going to try again to rotate it, but any tips while I'm doing that would help.

Love the kit besides this annoying sound.

I have mentioned this to some of us at MRLS. My tips are these.
Keep all the v bands loose and start with the front one. Make the downpipe touch the engine/transmission, it all moves together. Then adjust and tighten the rest of the v bands working towards the back. You can bend the hangers a little bit to get it just right if necessary.

I always want to orient the downpipe 1/2 way between the chassis and the transmission, took me a few times to stop doing that. The downpipe doesn't rattle against the engine/transmission, it rattles against the chassis.

Would anyone be able to provide pictures of how their intercooler is bolted at the top and bottom? (On NA chassis)

Also, for those with AC, did you have to move your condenser lines? I don't really see anyway to fit the intercooler without unbolting them and moving them pretty extensively.

Mounting IC all depends on what size IC you have. Most of the bigger ones have to be mounted further down and forward to fit around AC lines. This was a big reason in why I went with the IC that I chose.

I have the one from your NA kit, the squareish one.

EWG provision? Do T3 users want that? It is an "upgrade". Looks like there's space for a flat spot on the bottom, under the collector. Could be machined and drilled for an EWG at a later date.

No plans for external wastegate. There is not any room under the flange for a flat spot due to how it flows.
