Default MKTurbo Black Friday Sale TIME

2021 Pricing
Over the past 3 years I have held my pricing the same. Time has finally come to increase my prices due to covid and inflation and whatnot.

DIY setups pricing has increase to $2025 shipped. DIY setup now includes the oil line setup.
IC setups pricing has increased to $2750 shipped. IC setup now includes the oil line setup and intake setup.
Complete setups pricing has increased to $4300*

*1.6 setups slightly more due to including VTPS.

I am formally introducing the MK Turbo T3 budget base turbo setup. 3 years ago I started selling DIY setups that included a manifold, t3 turbo, down pipe and a full 3" exhaust for $1776 shipped. That has been going well, but I always kept getting asked what else do I need besides your hardware. I would give my answer to that by saying you need an intercooler setup, oil lines, ecu, injectors, a wideband, and miscellaneous other bits and pieces. So I have finally decided to do something about that. I am now offering 2 more levels of budget setups, the first is with an intercooler setup. The second is a full setup that includes the standard diy setup, the intercooler, and now adds a MSPNP-Pro, FlowForce EV14 Injectors, Wideband O2 sensor, intake, and oil line setup. This is just about everything you need to max out a stock motor all with one purchase.

The DIY setup is based around giving you a good starting hardware platform that will get you to just about maxing out your stock motor safely. You get a t3 log manifold, a t3 China turbo charger, 2.5" to 3" downpipe, full 3" exhaust with a giant magnaflow muffler. It is the best sounding and quietest exhaust on the market. Every connection point in the exhaust uses v-band clamps which makes assembly quick, easy, and painless. No more having to get gaskets and mess around with RTV. You can add in a high flow catalytic converter or the oil line setup for an additional charge.

The intercooled setup includes everything in the DIY setup along with everything you need to add an itnercooler. The IC set is PS/AC compatible. It includes an 18"x18" bar and plate intercooler, all polished aluminum intercooler piping, a bung for your IAT sensor, anda BOV. Everything you need to go from the turbo outlet, to the throttle body.
You may have to move your cruise control on certain models, one power steering hose needs to be moved around, and you may have to relocate your windshield washer bottle if it is in the bumper.

The full setup includes everything you need to reliably max out a stock 1.6 or 1.8 miata motor except for a clutch and a boost controller. This setup includes the DIY setup, along with the intercooler. It adds onto that with a MSPNP-Pro from DIYAutotune. That is a MS3 based stand alone ECU that includes phone support from DIY along with a free copy of Tuner Studio's (a $70 value). You get FlowForce 640cc EV14 injectors. These are a modern day injector that will work great at the low pulse widths idle needs, while still supplying more then enough fuel for your motor. They are PNP into the fuel rail with wiring harness adapters the make the wiring a breeze. You get to choose between either an AEM UEGO or Innovative MXT-L wideband O2 sensor. The 1.6 setups come with a vtps conversion kit that is PNP to convert the stock TPS to a variable one. The oil line setup is included in the full setup also. Along with an intake an a K&N filter. This is everything you need to take your miata from 95-115whp to 180-240whp. The only things you have to add on yourself is a stronger clutch, manual or electronic boost controller, and a drill bit and tap for the oil pan

Check out my newly launched website at MKTurbo.com or email send an email to mkturbos@gmail.com with questions or if you are interested in a setup. Here is a link to a precious thread where I initially launched the setups and all the development and changes and decision making that has gone on for the past 3 years as I worked on these setups. Additional pictures will be uploaded to the website as I take better ones. If there is anything specific you want to see let me know.

OLD INFO

I am formally introducing the MK Turbo T3 budget DIY setup. It is a budget setup to get 1.6 NA and 1.8L NA and NB miata's boosted at a reasonable price. Retail on the kit is $1500 shipped to the continental US.

What you get.
1. T3 Log Manifold
2. T3 Turbo with 2.5" v-band outlet
3. 2.5" to 3" downpipe with v-bands at either end.
4. 3" Aluminized steel exhaust with a large Magnaflow muffler, v-bands for all connections
5. EGR block off plates. (1.6 cars do not get these)

There are a few differences between the first group buy and this one.

The first is that I am now offering 1.6 setups. You get a mild steel log manifold that is compatible with AC and power steering. It is a similar design as the 1.8, except for the turbo sits a bit further forward. The reason it sits a bit further is so that the down pipe, mid pipe, and exhaust are the same as the 1.8. This cuts down on the amount of work I have to do, and makes it possible to upgrade to a 1.8 engine in the future very easily. All you have to do is change out to my 1.8 manifold and the rest of the setup will stay the same.

The second is that I am planning on getting the mid pipes made as a single mandrel bent piece. All I will have to do is throw on the 2 v-bands and it is complete. This cuts down on my build time, and possible places for welds to crack. This is the real reason for the group buy, as I need capital to get those produced in quantity to make it affordable.

The third thing is that I now am providing EGR block off plates for both EGR ports on the 1.8 intake manifolds. This is mostly just to help clean up your engine bay a bit more.

MKTurbo.com is also now live. I have some changes that are coming in the future to it, but overall it is about where it is going to stay.

Email mkturbos@gmail.com or send me a pm if you have questions or want to get in on the group buy.

Now pictures of the setup.

Introducing the MKTurbo oil line kit. The oil line kit will come with a -4an feed line and restrictors, -8an drain line, a tee block and fittings to bolt in at the oil pressure sender port on the block, drain fitting for the oil pan, and the input and outputs for the turbo. Basically everything you need to oil the turbo is included except for the drill bit and tap needed to tap your oil pan. The AN lines and fitting are all Aeroquip and covered in fire sleeve, they are locally made at a hydraulic shop. Price shipped is going to be $175 for the continental US.

Here are the lines and the engine block fittings. Missing the pieces that attache to the turbo, will get pictures of those tonight.

great price.

Have you gotten any shipping quotes for the kit? Just some rough ball parks would be nice.

It's really too bad that I still have a 1.6. I'm giving serious consideration to jumping on this and sourcing a 1.8 further down the road.

Down pipe has an O2 bung right before the flex pipe. Additional ones could be added if needed. A high flow cat can be added, contact me for pricing. The turbo is the same T3 Braineack ran for years. I will get specs tonight when I get home.

This is very tempting! Whats the spool like in this turbo? Full boost around what rpms? Say I'm running 8-10psi on a stock motor.

What's the longevity of the turbo at said psi? I saw that braineack has been running it for years, but at what psi?

I have not gotten any shipping quotes yet. I am expecting to have to get custom boxes made, as the pieces are large and odd shaped. I also expect it to be 3-4 boxes total to ship the kit. 1 for the turbo, 1 for the midpipe, 1 for axle back and manifold, and down pipe. So I would guess somewhere in the $100-$150 to get it all shipped to the west coast from Charleston SC.

It is bad that you still have a 1.6. I would be willing to do a custom 1.6 setup for you if you are interested. Price will be about $1000 more then the 1.8. Shipping will also be a bit more expensive because you will be getting a 1.8 motor as a needed part of the kit.

I expect spool to be decent. I should know for sure within the next few weeks. My best estimates are at the stock wastegate pressure of 8psi, it will probably make somewhere around 170whp-190whp. I will be getting a dyno done as soon it is running on my 97 test car.

As for longevity, I don't expect it to be any worse then any other china chargers that people on here have been running for years. Braineack ran his in various forms for years with anything going bad with the CHRA.

I may have to jump on this instead of my initial plan of FM cast mani and T25 setup. I really like the 3" exhaust it comes with! Looking forward to the videos of this on the test car!

I just put almost identically the same thing on my miata and it is awesome-sauce.

It sure looks like you'd be able to offer a 1.6 option for the cost of a taco manifold, for those depraved lost souls. Or, they could just buy your kit and a taco manifold, be able to run both.

If someone ships me a taco manifold, this turbo, and his downpipe, I'd be tempted to test fit it with an extra $100 in my pocket...

Hmm, if the downpipe has a 2-bolt flange to connect to my artech test pipe, I could also potentially dyno it on a 1.6.

Honestly if someone ships me a tacotaco manifold I can test fit it and see how close it is.

Why on earth does anyone keep wanting to use the 1.6l motor. I just do not understand it.
