MS2 enhanced ECU

2 Attachment(s)
For sale is an MS2 Enhanced ECU, with CAN Bus, built by MSLabs. Serial no. 10201, for a 04-05 MSM according to the tag. It is not a PNP unit; as such it has two DB37 ports and an adapter harness needs to be made. I will include the two DB37 plus plus 5" or so of cables (it was cut out of the car harness). The plus is that due to this, it can be used in any Miata. Selling because my plans changed a bit.

You sure this is usable in any miata? Even a 1990? I guess I'd have to build a DB37>NP76 wiring harness to hook it up?

It says in the ad this it requires an adapter harness to be made.

Exactly. Everything else should work regardless of the year (or car for that matter as it is a standalone ECU)

Hello I'm interested in this for my 2000. What would I need to make it work for my 2000? Please get back to me ASAP I am paypal ready if this will work for my miata

Abeck24 02-09-2017 04:15 PM

I know I need a harness but can you link me to where I can get exactly what is needed? Thank you

Easiest route would be getting a DIYBOB kit from here:

https://www.diyautotune.com/product/...ndenso-76-pin/

That's the most expensive solution though. Else, you could source the appropriate plug (TE connectivity has one if I recall correctly) for something like a fiver, and solder the wires from the DB37 plug (provided) to the plug.

do you know how easy it is to install it? Im not very inclined and will most likely need help but if it's nothing too extreme that'd be nice lol

Well.. it needs wiring. For the DIYBOB you will have to solder the DB37 pigtail wires to the board. If you decide to use just a plug, you will have to solder the DB37 wires to the appropriate plug pins and some heatshrink sleeving to avoid short-circuits. I would not say it is too hard, but definitely requires attention.
