Interlux Brightside paint in Fire Red (similar to Classic Red only a bit brighter)
$20 a quart

can this also be loaded into a sprayer? got clear coat?

I have no doubt you could spray it if properly thinned.
This paint doesnt require clearcoat, its not a two stage paint.
Its a polyurethane paint with UV inhibitors and teflon yada yada....made for boats. The $40 roller paint job guys use it. Works well and shines nicely with elbow grease.

Thanks for the info on the paint. I am looking at a hardtop that was poorly repainted. The PO wanted it to match the tan top/interior.

Black would be a definite improvement if I can pull it off. I hear its hard to get good results with black.

I have had a few friends try this method on there honda's, I have also seen this done on a miata in person. With enough time and effort this can come out very nice.
