OEM 1.8 323 gtx pistons and rods, $120 shipped

Hello,

bought these mistakenly thinking they were for a 1.6. They are in pretty good shape cosmetically, but it would be best to have a shop look them over before installation. Comes with the normal b6 rods. I believe they are 7.8:1 CR in the 1.6 motor, not sure what they are in the 1.8 though. I bought them used so not too sure on the mileage.

email stanley_ho35@hotmail.com for pics. $120 shipped anywhere in continental US.

Wait, so... not GTX rods?

crono36 09-26-2012 04:23 PM

yeah, they're the standard rods. not sure how the combination came to be. I bought these off phillyb quite a while ago.

gtx 1.6 has beefier rods.
The later gtx 1.8 only has lower compression pistons.
The gt-r 1.8 (1500 ever made) Had even beefier rods than the 1.6 gtx
lower compression pistons and oil cooling inside the pistons.

Corksport used to sell used GTR rods for something like $650+ but I'm not seeing them on their site anymore. Id rather buy new Manley/Scat/ETD rods w/ARP2k bolts for less than half of that and save my food stamps for Supertech slugs.

But that's way off topic. :loser:

Maybe you can get some pics of the pistons and rods you are selling and post them up? Good high res pics of the piston faces, ring lands, etc are what is going to sell these. Some accurate measurements might also help.

Good point. Just finished cleaning off the 1.6 pistons. I'll give these the same treatment and post up some pics.
