Default Speed Bleeders

Bought some Solo-bleed bleeders for my calipers, check them out online at:

Earl's Performance 280027ERL - Earl's Performance Solo-Bleed Brake Bleeders - summitracing.com

apparently they come in pairs and I don't wanna bother returning them, so I'm offering them to you guys, free shipping. aka $20 to your door for a full set (4 bleeders.)

I know this isn't want you want to hear.. but I've seen enough failed or failing speed bleeders to steer clear of them.

It's worth finding someone to help you for a few minutes.

they work ok - but teflon tape the threads. else you get air through them.

I'm not sure if they fit a 2000 miata. can anyone varify this for sv650 ck? 280027-erl and 280025-erl part # if you want to cross reference on summit racing.

Braineack did you have any problems with air escaping past the threads? just to be clear, they're the solo-bleeds with the spring loaded valve outside the threads, not the speed-bleeders with the valve in the threaded body (aka after the threads)

probably shoulda named the thread differently...

no I have speed-bleeders; valve in the body. No issues. Had them since 2001-2 IIRC, around there when I started autoxing.

Won't fit an '00 - according to Summitt they fit 90 - 94.

I just put the drivers side on, and damn. they make it easy, just a 1/4-1/2 turn and pump the brakes for a few seconds, close, next caliper. I likey. and I'm happy to announce that they're the right size, so again, $20 shipped to whomever wants 'em

Automobile Applications says they're the same '90-'97, so they're sold to akaryrye. PM for payment details.

here's the site I was reading about them from if anyone cares:

Spec Miata Community: Speed Bleeders, what size?

Not sure who you're referring to.

akaryrye and savington were eying to see who gets them, at least thats what I thought they were doing. I've used them once in the dark in a small car port and they're awesome, didn't even need to get all the way in the car. just cracked the valves open a 1/2 turn, stuck my foot in the car and pumped the brake. I was seeing solid fluid by the 5th or 6th pump, and thats with a fairly empty system.

one more thing, if anyone buys these, buy an extra rear, it'll work in the clutch slave apparently (this info gotten from previously linked specmiata site)
