Attachment 38209
Attachment 38210 Attachment 38211 I decided to sell my Rotrex to help fund another project. It's a C30-74 off of my '97 and will include the following: Blower/resevoir/cooler and mounting hardware; inlet restrictor; 70mm and 88mm pullies; IC & piping; 450cc injectors (still in car so not pictured); and engine oil cooler/lines/sandwitch adapter. I'm looking to get $3000, but am open to offers. |
Price reassessed and dropped to $2600
|
hmm, need to see what needs done to fit 1.6
|
You should sell me that 70mm ;)
Bump for stand up guy, buy his stuff! GLWS mang! |
Thanks Gordon. I want to give it a little more time as is. If there aren't any bites within another week or so the 70 is yours.
|
New price: $2500 or $3000 w/mspnp & LC1
|
just wondering how many miles are on the kit. also, don't have to answer, but why are you selling? going turbo?
|
I put between 45 & 50k on the kit. The last 10k or so with the smaller pulley. I actually really like the kit, but want to get my truck back out on the trails. It's sort of a funds transfer.
|
Bump. LOL!! I forgot about this. $2200 takes it.
|
Is yhat price without the ecu and lc1?
|
Correct.
|
Interested, but I don't have enough posts to send a PM to you. Can you PM me your email address?

In case anyone is wondering. This is about $5k worth of hardware capable of making 280whp on a stock long block with bigger injectors. Bigger intercooler and race gas and you're over 300whp. Great track setup for the right buyer.
GLWS |
Pmd for a price shipped to 49224?
|
Daaammmnnn this is a hulluva deal
|
If this will fit my 2000 block, I have cash in hand, waiting for shipping quote and paypal address.
|
still waiting for pm

GLWS Bump for good seller regardless, just be patient. Scooter helped me figure out some stupidity with my own Rotrex after Kraftwerks went MIA and before Skunk2 had picked up the slack. He loaned me parts from his kit for comparison to my own... I can't think of a more stand up guy than that. |
Do you know what parts of this kit will and won't fit a 2000 NB?
Kraftwerks is MIA? Does that mean they no offer support or sell Rotrex items? Who is the "go to" retailer for new Rotrex parts? |

From what I understand, Kraftwerks is now, or always was a, division of Skunk2 Racing. There was some sort of internal hubbub inside the Kraftwerks management structure and things kind of went to hell for a while. The folks at Skunk2 have dedicated time an effort to getting things sorted out and are pretty good with the communication and service now. The rotrex kits for the Miata are still being offered through Kraftwerks, as managed by Skunk2. I've got emails from the guys at Skunk2 saying they are in the process of a design change for the Miata application. Emilio is right... this is worth near 5k and is good for 280+HP in the right hands. I've got one installed on my car, I'm just not far enough along in my project to make this happen yet. Don't let my thread of bitching drive you away from one of these kits if you are interested. The issues have been sorted out and service parts are currently available. This does represent a significant value in the forced induction department. ...of course I may be biased, seeing as I have one :giggle: |
still waiting on a pm... still very interested!!!!
|
Sorry for going MIA for a while. I NEEDED to get out of town for a while. PMs sent.
As far as NB compatibility, I'm not 100%, but I'd been under the impression that the 1.8 mounting hardware was all the same. |
What would the price be without the MSPNP and LC-1? I might be able to scrape the cash together soon.
|
$2200 is w/o MS and lc1.
|
Can we get clarification on NB compatibility?
|
Skunk2 should be able to...
answer the compatilbility question. I asked similar question regarding using a 2001 Kraftwerks kit on 99-00.:2cents:
|
why not research it for yourself and not be a dick about it?
he's offering a fantastic deal on a kit otherwise sold for twice the money, it shouldn't be his job to know if your year (which he DIDN'T advertise) will fit. I hate idiots like you ---- you |
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but with regards to mounting, ALL the accessories can be physically swapped between 1.8 Miatas IIRC. I'm talking about crank harmonic dampers (yes, I'm aware of the mounting boss change), AC compressors, power steering pumps, etc etc, etc. The mounting plate mounts to those bosses, so there is NO reason it SHOULDN'T fit.
The only thing I could see that WOULD NOT swap over is the DFC/PowerCard injector controller chingadera, but trust me, you want a stand alone with this. Email Brian at Kraftwerks if you are worried about it and ask him. Briann@skunk2.com. If it doesn't fit, ask him what the aluminum mounting plate would cost for an NB. Its probably available as an individual part for like $200-$250. Everything else should be kosher other than the intercooler plumbing, but that's all custom anyway. Like 18 said, do some research. Its like you just asked us if a 90-93 Greddy kit will fit your MazdaSpeed. FML |
You have my sincerest apology for encroaching your webspace with my silly question. Allow me to answer your question(s)-
why not research it for yourself and not be a dick about it? he's offering a fantastic deal on a kit otherwise sold for twice the money, it shouldn't be his job to know if your year (which he DIDN'T advertise) will fit. "NA Rotrex on an NB" "Will Scooters Rotrex fit my car?" "What type of questions does 18psi approve of?" ..into Google, but fell short on satisfactory answers to any of my question. I bet even Google thought I was a d**k for asking questions I don't have the answers to. I hate idiots like you ---- you I bet your parents are proud. |
I just got off the phone with Brian at Kraftwerks. According to him the mounting bracket is indeed the same for the NA8 and NB.
|
Thanks for checking for me, Scooter, I really appreciate it.
I am unable to PM at this point. Would you mind sending me a PM so I can provide you with contact information? Otherwise, wastemore@comcast.net |

90-05 Mazda Miata Race Supercharger Kit
It started as the basic race kit with no plumbing or electronics. |
this is really a nice kit and good price, and I actually considered getting it just to throw it on for sh*ts and giggles before I throw on my turbo setup, but the no-ac part really was a deal breaker.
GLWS |
he said he ran it WITH AC!
