Hey Sean, can you provide your insight into how hard the poly is to bore out?
I can make a holding/centering jig and have a drill press, but do I need anything crazy like a reamer and a lathe?
The only thing I really know is that drilling big holes in soft plastics can be a pita.
Not sure if this has been covered. I almost searched.

It is buried deep in the spherical thread and mega thread. But if you can hold it well without collapsing it, and have a sharp bit, it cuts ok, but you need a high rpm. I run my lathe at 1200rpm, no idea how 500ish or so would do. Freezing it also helps. Its not like plastic where it grabs and the bit wants to actually thread into the material, its quite the opposite, its doesn't want to cut, but instead deflects. Also if it starts to chatter, stop immediatly, it will open the bushing up much bigger than the bit.

Plastic drilling tip- knock the hugely positive rake of the drill bit down with a file or stone to make it neutral rake. (this goes for brass too)

asterisks are for who has been contacted to pay. Everything is tracked outside of the forum. The lists you see are just for information for you all. (if that wasn't obvious)

Also, a note about the predrilled FUCA bushings.

Energy suspension has a great system where you can't buy individual bushings, except in large amounts. And they aren't always cheap.

A set of pre-drilled fuca bushings is probably in the ~$40 range, and could be a month out.

If people are still interested please let us know and we will work to make it happen.

I think I may have posted this back in the original thread but Whiteline sells just the FUCA (W52208A) and the SadFab bushings slide right in. A little pricey but they are the correct size. I just opened up my package of them I ordered a while back and double checked before I posted this.
