For sale 99-2000 Exhaust Manifold and Downpipe.

Up for sale is the 99-2000 Exhaust Manifold and Downpipe with 46,000 miles on them. As most enthusiasts know, the 99-2000 Exhaust Manifold is a superior upgrade to the cheap tubular exhaust installed on 2001-2005 Miatas.

Aside from being sturdier, the cast iron manifold provides even better flow rates and resist deterioration. It only makes since why Mazda would use the cast iron manifolds on Miatas for only two years; they are simply too expensive to manufacture.

Asking 50 dollars plus shipping for exhaust manifold and downpipe...

Cody Strife 02-09-2009 08:01 PM

Also includes all heatshields and 10mm fasteners...

:bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl:

Actually, the 01+ is the well known superior upgrade known by most enthusiast. You've got it backwards.

Don't listen to PatsMX5...

He is just shitting on my thread because he wants my cast iron manifold, but he can't afford it.

I mean, why do you think that Mazda would only use their superior cast iron manifold for two years? It is only logical that price control is the no.1... It was simply too expensive to fabricate...

Marc D 02-09-2009 08:17 PM

um.... no

you got it wrong like pat says. 2001+ design is tubular, which is better in flow and performance rather than a cast iron manifold, not to mention a great deal lighter.

Don't listen to bad boy, he is just jealous cause he wishes he had my bad boy cast iron exhaust manifold...

Cody Strife 02-09-2009 08:21 PM

Pat, don't bother my costumers with your "forum topics on tubular headers" they are completely irrelevant...

Dude, you said the 99' was a "superior upgrade to the cheap tubular exhaust installed on 2001-2005 Miatas". Well, that's Bullshit and you know it. You wanna sell your shit, I don't care. But don't make false claims. I find it funny you find all those threads "irrelevant" though... :)

Cody Strife 02-09-2009 09:17 PM

Hahaha, I know I just did it for shits and kicks. I got a OBX 4-2-1 Header for my 99 10th Anniversary. I just finished taking that iron manifold off and it weighs a damn ton. Naw, actually all in all, I weighed the manifold and downpipe and it weighs about 30 pounds. I betcha this 4-2-1 header weighs about 17 pounds.

Nah but my price is 50 dollars plus shipping. Of course i'll take offers. It does have a nice low mileage downpipe you know...

Cody Strife 02-09-2009 09:18 PM

Question for some of yall, why did they use the cast iron manifold for two years? I mean... they surely didn't stick with it...

jsisco 02-09-2009 09:19 PM

Everything Cody posted was dripping in sarcasm. He wasn't serious about any of it.

cheap tubular manifold
cast iron being expensive to manufacture

come on

Good luck on the sell.

Edit: He beat me to it.

Cody Strife 02-10-2009 01:33 AM

Yeah I was waiting to get some laughs on it. Especially when I said the cast iron units offers superior flowrates to the tubular exhaust...

r808 02-14-2009 07:19 AM

It's obvious sarcasm, but when you are doing it to sell something it is totally inappropriate.
