For Sale: PTE 5857 Turbo, M62 Supercharger. 2.5" Exhaust, MSM Clutch, 01 Exhaust Cam
UPDATED thread to reflect items that have not sold yet:
All parts are OBO and do not include shipping or paypal fees. Please help me finance my 3.308 gears and future mods. What you see in the pics is what you get. The thread for my purchase of the Precision 5857 dual ball bearing turbocharger is HERE. It looks like it's in excellent condition and is exactly as I received it. Relatively speaking, it should spool well on a 1.8L, given it was purchased for a 1.6 set up. M62 Supercharger was purchased but never installed by me. It is from a GM 3800 series engine. Seller of the M62 described as follows: Used, “In really good condition. No slack, no binding in rotors nothing.” That's all I know. I think pricing is fair, but feel free to flame me if I have made any mistakes (I did not do it intentionally). In any case, it's OBO as mentioned above. __________________________________________________ _______________________________________ Precision 5857 Dual Ball Bearing Turbo, 0.63 a/r, T3, Capable of 500+ whp, (orig purch thread), $799 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1385583157 Eaton M62 Supercharger w/ throttle body and Volvo BOV (see above for desc), turns freely with minimal effort, $145 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1385583157 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1385583157 MSM clutch disk and pressure plate, 54K on it when removed and was holding just fine, $99 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1385583157 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1385583157 SOLD Exhaust Cam from an '01 SOLD https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1385583157 Enthuza 2.5 Muffler, 2.5" in/out - not too loud, sounds nice, has a silverline can, $199 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1385583157 |

Precision 5857 Dual Ball Bearing Turbo, 0.63 a/r, T3, Capable of 500+ whp, (orig purch thread), $799 the GT2560R spools well on a 1.8. Factory subaru turbos spool well on a 2.5. The billet wheel 5858 DBB .82a/r on a 2.5 spools not well. Response is fantastic once spooled. The 5857 .63 on a 1.8... :dunno: Regardless that's a great price, should sell quick on a Honda or evo forum. ;) GLWS |
^Thx.
Well, .63AR is much better than .82AR for spool. Considering a 1.6 manifold was built for it (see link above for the sale thread I bought it from), I am guessing it do would well on a 1.8. Local shop that built my engine also said it should do well on a 1.8 (well 1.9 now for me) as they are quite familiar with Precision Turbos. If the 3.308 solves my traction problem, then I may look at an EFR. But, if I was smart, I would stay where I am powerwise, lol. Edit... and I'm too lazy to join a Honda or Evo forum (for now) |
I hear ya, I wouldn't want to join a honda or evo forum either.
Too bad that's not a vband turbine housing, I'd buy it to try it. Actually looking online/ebay for turbine housings, you may make some money parting the turbo out, selling that ported S cover, CHRA, and turbine separately. Just another idea if it doesn't sell quick complete. |
