This is my buddy who had the red Miata he got for $1 with a bad engine. I dunno if you guys remember it. He was collecting parts to boost it but doesn't have time to finish the job. It had 4000mi on the turbo. Make an offer on it. :bigtu:

is he keeping the Miata? I will give him $10 for it. Look at that profit margin! :)

Loki047 12-14-2007 09:08 AM

lazzer is he selling the miata?

lazzer408 12-14-2007 01:17 PM

Give him a call. 1-224-629-1665 his name is Nick. I think he might be but I'm not sure. His gf mentioned something about him wanting to sell it. Everything is forsale if the price is right I guess.

Very. The car sat for a long time and the paint was kinda faded so he had the car repainted. There was no body work done. No rust. He just painted it to make it shiny. It has a low mile engine in it. That's the motor that came out of one of the stolen cars Arif stole. Nick ended up having to pay the owner of the engine to keep it. His only other choice was to give it back at his expence to have -some shop- pull it.

Loki047 12-14-2007 05:39 PM

how much did he pay?

lazzer408 12-14-2007 05:53 PM

$450? on top of the $400 he gave Arif for the engine in the first place.

Loki047 12-14-2007 06:00 PM

Wow that owner is a dick. Is your friend going after Arif?

posidon42 12-14-2007 11:51 PM

so I take it you talked to him? What happened?

XxGoKoUxX 12-15-2007 06:03 AM

i give him respect for even confronting the guy about the engine being stolen from him, and also paying him for it also...... down here in FL they dont play those games.... u got a stolen honda engine? u bought it, it's yours, and nobody's gonna say otherwise :(

It's a fucked up system. For example. If someone's car was stolen and the insurance company paid out on it, and then the car is found, the insurance company gets it and sells it at auction. If parts were found and the value wasn't worth it to the insurance company then the police sell it off at their auction. In my opinion Nick should have kept the engine, shut his mouth, and it would be up to the owner to get restitution from Arif. Or... If Nick HAS to buy the engine back the police should help him get his money from Arif (for the original engine purchase) but they wont. He tried.
So the owner of the motor gets their money, Arif gets his money, but Nick looses out and the cops won't help him. It's bullshit imo. They should help him get his money back from Arif.
I had a motorcycle stolen and I told the cops who did it, how they did it, whos truck they borrowed to load it, who helpped him load it, who was their when it happened, had 3 witnesses, and they wouldn't do anything because they "didn't have physical evidence". I told that detective...
"Aside from -the thief- rolling the bike into your office with a signed confession taped to the gastank your not going to do anything? Your fired. Did you forget who's paying your salery?"
Then he threatened to arest me for disorderly conduct and harassment. =)
