I'm buying at least 2.
The usual splitter mount solutions don't work well if you hit a lot of cones. These *will* bend with enough abuse. My car gets whored out enough that I'd like to have spare(s). IF Andrew would make these out of steel it would be awesome for AX'ers, though probably not ideal for most track addicts. |
I did one set out of steel during R&D. The owner had a moderate off and tore up the splitter on day two of shakedown. The frame rails on that car ended up slightly kinked because the weldnuts in the frame moved around a little. Not enough to cause any issues or body panel misalignment, but it was alarming. I would strongly advise against making these any stronger than they already are - $200 is cheaper than sending the car to a frame shop after a bad farming session. :)
Thanks for setting this up, folks. A true group buy in this industry is rare. :) This is one of those products that just doesn't fit into my new business model as a regular inventory/stock item, but I'm happy to make a single batch of them if I know they'll all find happy homes quickly. It looks like we'll hit ten without issue here so I'll get started on a batch shortly. |

Given that these are consumables, maybe it makes sense to do an annual group buy? I'm fully aware of how rough I'm going to be on these via cone smacking. |
Sign me up for a set please

If no one steps up for the 10th set by Friday, I'll go ahead and take another set. We need this to happen.

is the GB finalized yet? I saw Andrews post that he is going to start production. When do we expect to pay ?
|
Andrew said he needed at least 10 to complete the Group Buy. If you're interested and able to purchase now (as production has already started) please add your name to the list. We will wait for him to comment on payment and delivery.

I am in the list. Was just thinking if I need to post on local facebook group to advertise and get 1 more participant ...
