used Link on ebay
saw this and thought I would pass it on, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1990-...QQcmdZViewItem
cool....thanx:)
But no intake temp and the map sensor... ($99 & $255 @ fm)
but if someone can pick it up for $500-600, then you still save.
The seller seems like a right :cjerk: judging from the answers he gave to the questions.
I wouldn't buy anything from him....... |

I wouldn't buy anything from him....... I've sold a lot of things on ebay and you can get some stupid questions (and some a-holes are quite persistant). |

And...I think the seller is answering questions just fine. |
Thats the one Phinz (clubroadster) is selling for a friend.
holy cow, there are some stupid questions there. And if you say he is selling it for a friend, why is he claiming to have bought it and just opened it???? almost sounds misleading.
Phinz just pointed it out to the clubroadster folks...JD is selling the item himself.
Im gonna ask him what his reserve price is. lol
FM will sell the newest version of the Link board (and board alone) for $860. Just FYI
How do you know if the ecu still works?? He can't have tried it without the map sensor....
the guy selling it is a douche.
reserving my judgment of this auction, but...
FM sells the Link IAT sensor for $105 and if you're lucky, you can pick up a used MKII MAP sensor for <$200. I recently picked up an excellent-condition used MAP sensor for $125, though YMMV.
As i have MK1 link, where do you find these things??
(mk2 mapsensor is compatible with mk 1 ecu) Like to have 1.... |

I don't care if people are asking stupid questions. It doesn't excuse common manners. If you don't want to hear stupid questions then don't try to sell stuff on Ebay (or read the pointy board <G>). |
that guy is a fucking idiot he should have figured out what he had and then sold it. get it done, or keep it period. if i asked him a question andhe was a dick like that to me i would tell him to go fuck himself. Big rule of selling shit dont offend the customer until after they pay.
so, did anyone on this board get this Link?

At that price, it's worth the risk. I bought my Link for 550, but it also came with a map sensor and intake sensor. Good luck if you got it.

I'll sell the handheld (hopefully someone wants to buy one) and swap my 440s with those 550s if I feel like redoing my fuel maps. I'm wondering if I can get away with running it without an intake sensor (just throwing a resistor on there to make it think it is 100 degrees or something). I'll still have to buy a map sensor though.
