Might be needing a head, wondering if anyone has something I could work over and install.

johnwag may have one. He always has shit like this.

Unfortunately, I don't have one. I did at one time and hope to have one for my car one day.

A friend suggested getting a protege head, since apparently they can be had for like $100, is there any truth to that - he said something about the cams, and I thought the head gasket is different, but since I could just put in the miata pieces, would that work?

I highly recommend you start driving my direction right this minute. The odds of your wrecking where the shipping is cheap increase the further west you make it.

Any tips on getting cheap shipping? Someone's got one in N.C. for cheap, but I've seen shipping of $180 before.

I don't know about shipping, but I've always had good luck with DHL.

I wouldn't cheap out on it too much though, I would hate to find out that something happened to it during shipping.
