WTB: Various stock parts

Things I "need":
  • VVT head in shitty condition
  • '99 Intake plenum or square top (square-top if the price is right)
  • Fuel rail that works with a '99 plenum on an NA
  • '99 throttle body
  • VVT connector/pig-tail
  • VICS connector/pig-tail
  • Hall sensor connector/pig-tail
  • Hall sensor and mount
  • '99 crank wheel
  • engine mount rubbers
  • Alternator tension bolt and slidy-mount-thingie that both bolts thread into
  • CAS "plug" for '99 cars
  • EGR block off for the header and the 99 plenum

Things I might buy if the price is right
  • recently cleaned injectors that will support 200whp
  • DDM gauge cluster/radio surround for 1 or 2 gauges

hey Trey. Couple of local guys have damaged their cars, while others have spare parts around. Might want to try our local board since you are in town more often now.

Do I need to run the 1994 or the 2001 coils?

You can run cops, but you have to modify the VVT Valve Cover. It involves drilling out the spark plug wires hole just a bit and drilling down some metal parts. I will see if I can find the pics I took last year.

I might have a VICS plug, I will try to get out to my shed today and check.
Like I said in your other thread, order an 01 harness from The Parts Group for $45 and it will have the Cam/Crank, and VVT connectors. Also you can order the 4 prong timing plate from them for cheap to. You will also need a Crank Boss pulley from a 96+ to fit the timing wheel.

you can run the toyota cops as lars said.

they are just slightly bigger than the holes in the valve cover. a sandpaper barrel on a die grinder and about 20 minutes of your life porting the holes and they will fit.

also the mounting ears/flanges on the COP are kind of awkwardly positioned relative to some of the aluminum on the valve cover that mounted the original mazda coils.

Instead of finding a fuel rail to work on the 99 head, why not get a C5 Corvette fuel filter. Quite common in LS1 swaps when converting a car with a fuel return to a returnless system.
