Its fine if they are there for a reason. If not, I can change them.

hmm. i pretty much looked at the diypnp itself and wrote down what pins were populated and built the db15....maybe i cant count?

I figured out what it was and I figured I'd share in case someone else is as ignorant as me and suffers from a similar problem. I originally changed both of the outputs to 7.35 to 21.99 in LM programmer. I just changed one of the outputs to 10-20 and all is well. The car's idling much better, autotune quickly tuned my AFRs to match the targets, and part throttle acceleration is much smoother. Now I just need to dial my tune in, get my clutch installed, and up the boost (I'm currently running off of the wastegate)!

Joseph B,
Did you have to make any changes to the outputs on your LC-1? I thought it only needed to be calibrated.

Yes, one of the outputs is setup by default to emulate a narrowband 02 sensor. You need to connect to the LC1 with the provided serial cable and use LM Programmer to change the output that goes to your MS to 10-20 afr and the output that goes to your gauge to 7.35-21.99 afr.

This thread is AWESOME, the 1st thing that popped up when I started searching and EXACTLY what I was looking for to get started

Thank you 99mx5, Reverant, Brain and others.

Stupid question: my db15 is not color coded, which one is #4? when looking at it (with plug pointing at my face lol) is it the TOP row 4th one from the right like in the picture??

Also: what are the rest of the wires for? (probably another ultra stupid question lol)

Yeah, this forum is awesome. Lots of good info.

18psi, you are right. If you look closely at the connector with the wires, you will see the numbers next to the pin holes.

Yeah everyone has the potential for a different DB15 pin-out depending on how your ECU was built and what you required.

I try to keep the same pinout on all units to ease the testing. Strictly speaking, all units have the same pinouts on pins 1-9.

# FUNCTION
1 12V
2 GND
3 SIGNAL GND
4 WIDEBAND
5 VREF (5V)
6 5V FOR DIY
7 SWITCH TABLES
8 FLEX FUEL
9 LAUNCH CONTROL
10 IGN C
11 IGN D
12 ANALOG KNOCK OUT
13 DIGITAL KNOCK IN
14 ALT MAP IN
15 RPM OUT/EBC OUT

1,2,3,4,7 are standard on all units.

The rest are only built if you asked for them.

Anyone have any luck getting their idle smooth? I ******* failed. Is there any other way to obtain the values other than looking like a db after turning the test on and having the rpms shoot up? However, I did get a smooth idle with the iac unplugged.

Joseph B,
After reading your post I decided to plug it in and fire it up. It fired up right away and went to a high idle. I blipped the throttle and it settled to around 1.2K RPM. the idle went down to 1K after it warmed up and stayed there. It seemed smooth. I turned on the AC, the blower and the lights. I even turned the steering wheel. The idle only fluctuates from 900 to 1200 when the AC is on.

I have not done any tuning and it does seem to be rich. I did notice that turning on the AC does not automatically turn on the condensor fan.
