9495 MSPNP2 Start up issues

I just installed a MSPNP2 from DIYautotune in my 95 and I'm having an issue at start up. The car won't simply start and idle I have to aid with some gas pedal input in order to get it going. Once it gets going it settles at about 1k rpm. Any ideas?

Also I went ahead and used the DIY input pigtail to try to connect my wideband to MS but I didn't recognize it. I used the wire that I was using in my previous MS1 and ran it to pin 21 of the additional port in MS2 as per the manual, but I was unable to get a reading.

Have you set your base timing/Ignition Offset Angle yet?
Ignition Settings/Ignition Options/Fixed Advanced-->Fixed timing to 10 degrees
Tools/Trigger Wizard/adjust as necessary.
Then set the Fixed Advanced back to Use Table.

(I'm on my 2nd day with the same unit on my '94... didn't have any issues once I was able to get the TPS to register properly.)

Also, are you using the MM9495_Miata_331a base map from DIY?
Once I had the car started, and warmed up, I ended up setting the base idle manually to 850 at the throttle body.
So far, so good. Not dialed in by any means, but it starts nicely. Will raise the idle to 1400 or so when cold, as the base map has it doing/etc.

What wideband are you attempting to connect?
I've got the AEM UEGO. Power (red) tapped into 1B, Ground (black) tapped into 2A, 0-5V signal (white) tapped into 2N.
That way the wideband signal should be getting passed into the DIYMSPNP where the factory O2 sensor is feeding it's values.

I'm about to head out and install the wideband now. Make sure to disconnect your factory O2 sensor under the hood...

Yeah I was able to adjust timing with the trigger angle. It just seems odd that it's rough at start up then adjusts and settles.

I have a PLX300 it's already wired in and I thought I could just run the wideband input to pin 21.

I'll try loading the basemap, but I thought all units came already pre-loaded.

It should have been pre-loaded.

Can you post a copy of your current MSQ and a data log of what happens when you start it?

I went and download the basemap from DIYautotun and there were considerable difference when it ran the difference report to the tune that came in the unit. Startup is slight hesitant but much much better than before. I am attaching a brief log I took yesterday while having issues with cranking the car. The latest msq is the turbo tuner msq from the site
