Default Brains gunna explode

ok so i got my 90-93 mspnp, lc-1 wideband, 190lph pump all installed on my 1.6. I also have my 460cc inj, and turbo set-up installed. The car does fire up (runs rough as expected) but im trying to figure out what to do first because im kinda doing everything backwards, i know i need to set-up the timing first but should i not change the settings for the lc-1 and injectors first. just asking for some direction, Thanks and sorry for the extreme noob question.

1: Rescale your injectors first, that will make the car run a bit smoother. For 440cc injectors, you will want to take the Req_Fuel and change it to something like 6.7(50% of what it was because because the injectors are twice the size). After that, go into the acceleration wizard menu. In the part that is called "Map based AE" select each of the blue dots, and cut the values in half (to start). Otherwise your car will run like *** with any sort of throttle input because it is injecting roughly 2x the fuel it needs for enrichment.

2: Set the fixed angle to "10" under spark settings. Now check under the hood with your timing light to see where you are at. Adjust the trigger angle until the mark on the crank matches 10*. After you finish, change the fixed angle back to "-10" to use the supplied map.

3. Verify that your sensors are reading properly in TunerStudio (IAT,CLT,WBo2).

4. Set up a reasonable AFR target table and go drive around for a little bit with VEAnalyze live enabled. Start off super gentle, and slowly work your way up into boost.

5. Profit.

Thank you . Even though there is a lot of info out there on various other forums and in the megasquirt documentation, I've been thinking of writing an easy to follow "Getting started tuning" guide for complete newberts. I've been doing a fair bit of teaching to a friend of mine whom I set up with MS and I just think it would be nice to be able to offer a simple printed guide to people whom I sell MSs to (plus it saves me time on the phone )

If you are on windows, the file is located in "my documents/tuner studio projects/*whatever you named your project*/*.msq"

On linux, the file is under "~/tuner studio projects/*whatever you named your project*/*.msq"

Can you connect with the car while it is running? Does everything appear to be functional?

Hmm, that is weird. my req_fuel is like 6.3 and I've never had that problem... Oh well, glad that got worked out. Now, how do you have your wideband wired in?

Yellow is narrowband output (according to the manual). You either need to splice in to the brown, or reprogram your LC-1 to use a 0-5v output on the yellow.

ahhhh faaack, so splice into the brown wire from the sensor and run it to pin 10. okay will try that in the morn. I plan on getting the wideband to read in megatune then set my timing and run auto tune. does that sound right.

Yep, sounds pretty good. You know, it would be easier to just reprogram the LC-1
