Ego switch point .. Help
Ok so I've been running mspnp for a while just using the wide and with 0 correction and running with a decent map is say.. Now can someone hold my hand please and explain how to set switch points and just gimmie a "for idiots" on what the switch point does and references off of. Thank you 90 miata

switch point is the voltage your WBo2 sees 14.7 AFR.
if you have a LC-1 and it outputs 7.35 at 0v and 22.39v at 5v, then the switch point would be ~2.5v If you have an AEM it's closer to ~2.35v. |
That's great info thanks !! Next question. So at switch point I set the kpa where to switch at and then at let's say 100 kpa it will switch from the voltage reference at 2.5 ( roughly) to what's plotted on my ve table correct ? And for ego correction that is the percentage of correction or how rapidly the computer will correct to 2.5v ? Sorry just need my hand held alittle Thank you

im not quite sure we are on same page... |
Ok hahahah what exactly does switch point do?
|
Correct me if I'm wrong, Scott, but is not the EGO switch point used only in narrowband mode?
|
the switch point simply tells the MS what voltage the o2 is outputting 14.7:1.

yeah im not positive it's even in use when wideband is selected. |
Ok lol ill just leave te correction at 0 then ? Keep running off my ve and megatune with my afr targets.. Thank you for the responses .. Just want my cruise and idle more efficient .

Correction at 0 = no EGO
So you will be 100% reliant on a perfectly tuned VE fuel table for fueling. You'll use TUNER STUDIO, not megatune (please uninstall megatune), to use your AFR targets with the VE Analzyer Live function to tune the VE Table. |
