Help ?!? MSPNP2 not connecting
Ok... I've spent hours(16). Messing around with this and even reached out to DIYAUTOTUNE.
I've tried multiple computers , and connectors without luck. DIY Thinks my ecu may have a failed chip that's why it's not connecting. Is there someone in Dallas /Plano that can test their laptop on my ECU? I'll pay you. I believe this is the easiest route for testing vs sending my ecu in for repair. If you are a tuner ... I'm happy to pay for your time and tunning. I've added COP, larger injectors, supercharger, and meth. The previous owner of my new add ons sent me his files to help me get started. Since the ecu will not sync, I can't upload the files. I bought this Miata with this ecu, so it's not from the guy with parts. The car ran and will start now. Obviously runs horrible due to lack of tune for all the add ons. Any help or direction to a Dallas tuner appreciated Thank you in advance |
Mail it to DIY Autotune

Ok... they got it and said it worked fine.
My only guess is bc I have windows 7 professional. Thoughts?? Any tuners willing to come by my house? |
Mailed to DIY... they said no issues.
Thoughts? Could it be bc I'm running windows professional? I know the USB port work, as I use one laptop on my others car accessport. |
I'm running Windows 7 so I don't think that's a problem. I do know that many people have problems with certain USB adapters and must buy the one from DIY auto tune that are known to work.

If running a USB to serial adapter you have to install the correct drivers. Did you do this?
If so does the computer recognize that you've plugged in the cable? |

If so does the computer recognize that you've plugged in the cable? I actually bought theirs and tried 2 others. I also confirmed the port wasn't used, and confirmed port was working. |
I'm good with computers but have nearly zero experience with MS.
For kicks and giggles check your device manager and see if the adapter is listed and if it has a yellow "!" Icon on it. That would indicate an issue with the device. |

I fixed it... Prove that I didn't.
(Glad you're up and running) |
