Default MSPNP 2 Launch control/rev limit

Hello all I finally got my MS running!

the firmware is pre 3.3.0 beta 16 (came on the unit)

I have set my rev limit to spark cut and i have enabled launch control with spark cut but the launch control doesnt seem to work.

per MS i have it set to use the default clutch switch and the board had the jumper pin on pin group 4 per the manual.

Do i need to jumper any wires on the clutch switch for a 93 1.6?

That should be OK - can you post an MSQ and data log?

You might also want to update to the latest 3.3.1 code.

You can load a beta code map to the release code, but give the settings, particularly idle control, a sanity check.

I forgot to mention and it totally slipped my mind but my 93 is equipped with cruise control. would this cause issues when i try to use launch control? If so is there anything I need to wire up to bypass it?

edit:

per this link they are also having issues with launch control.
https://www.miataturbo.net/mspnp-55/...pressed-65437/

could this be my issue as well?

Cruise control generally works independently of the ECU.

its just odd that i have everything set up per the manual to use the stock clutch switch and with launch control enabled it never activates when the clutch pedal is pressed to the floor.

like I said, I dont know if my 1.6 having cruise control with two switches on the clutch pedal would cause an issue or not. ill make a log sometime this weekend and review/post it.

Im still having issues with launch control on the MSPNP2.

here is a screen of my settings out of the box. All i did was enable LC. I have also included a log in which the clutch pedal is pressed in and launch control doesnt engage. the log is 20mb so i used dropbox to link it.

Launch control input needs to be set to Flex and not PE0.

Yes, the 3.3.1 names them for what their default features are in the MSPNP. I think you'll find that much easier.

So the launch term means use the default clutch switch correct?

Per the new firmware I have the switch set to "launch" and I tried to unplug the two white cables under the trans and that didn't work so I plugged them back in.

Now I'm running a 1.6 with no vTPS so should I be changing a certain settings.
