Default Launch Control Not Working In Gear With Clutch Depressed

I just got my MSPNP installed and tuned with the autotune feature on tunerstudio and decided to set up launch control. Well it works fine in neutral with or without the clutch pedal depressed, but as soon as I put it into first with the clutch pedal still depressed it revs freely. I was thinking the clutch switch is bad, but I would assume that would make the car either 1. not start or 2. start without depressing the clutch pedal. Neither of those is happening.

Any ideas?

there are 2 separate switched on the clutch, one for starter inhibition, and one for the ecu. the latter is the one for launch, and should be brown/white.

bypassing it with a jumper should result in launch being "stuck" on if everything else checks out.

you need to unplug your neutral safety switch from the trans.

nevermind i found it on mitchell

Hows it run with the autotune?

it runs pretty good. i'm still tracking down a massive boost leak, so i'm hardly building any boost. So i guess you could say i'm not a good judge right now.

and by the way. the reason LC wasnt working in gear is because the spring in the clutch switch was broken. so i replaced it with a click-pen spring. works just fine now.

Well, I'm having an odd but similar problem... My launch control is on at all times, when activated on the ECU.

I was tuning it with autotune before, so this never happened, but today while cruising I noticed the car won't rev past 2500RPM, and ignition retards to 5º. That's the launch control being active. If I disable it, the car revs just fine.

Should the launch control not work, or do I have to check if my clutch switch is broken? Should the circuit be closed or open, for launch control to be enabled?

do you have a vTPS? since you have a 91, I'm assuming no.

if you watch your throttle input gauge, youll notice it's constantly increasing to 100% i bet.

you need to make sure your throttle % threshold is set really really really high, in fact I wouldn't use launch control without a vTPS.

I disabled it for the time being. It serves no purpose to me. My only worry is that I might have a bad clutch switch!

Nope, no cruise. And it doesn't have that other switch that miatas seem to have either, which prevents them from starting with the clutch depressed.

Is removal of the neutral safety switch and setting up the software all you have to do to get launch control working one of Brain's MSPNPs? I was under the impression you had to actually wire the clutch switch up and I couldn't ever figure it out.

You should know though... Didn't you have to disconnect your TPS?
