MS2 advanced user near central indiana

I am looking for an advanced MS user willing to come over to take a look at my setup to see if i am missing something that is zapping the firmware from my MS, i am willing to pay for your travel (2-3 hr drive max) and time, but it must be an experienced person that has done a few MS startups-tunes, don't need two noobs trying to figure it out LOL.
Here is my build tread

talk to aim tuning In Indianapolis. They have experience installing and tuning mega squirts.

HHammerly 03-23-2014 01:38 PM

Thanks Dimitris remote troubleshoot my system and it apears that it was the ECU had a problem, sent the ECU back to MS labs and he shipped an MS3 last week so I am getting things re-wired right now.
I will see how the new ecu works and put some miles on the car before having it tuned, I stoped by AIM about a week ago and the guy working there said that Shane is doing street tunes now, left my phone number but Shane never called me back so I think that I may go to Pure Tuning to get the car dynoed when I'm ready

The best way to get ahold of Shane is via email or in person. Great dude, really smart, but sometimes I swear he's allergic to money.

Where/who is Pure Tuning?

I

HHammerly 03-23-2014 11:43 PM

I think that he would have called me if I was offering him a gig or had some drums for him LOL.
I know Shane, he is a good guy and dyno tuned my SC NA and by brothers STS NA back when he had just gotten the dyno, he did a superb job specially on the STS car, but he has had some calibration issues with it and I did not get dyno sheets for my tune so I don't know what the tune looked like torque, HP, AFR and I don't want to do that on this build.
Pure Tuning is in Toledo OH, I have heard some good things from a couple of guys that run NASA, they got a conservative tune that holds up when beating on it at the track.

concealer404 03-23-2014 11:49 PM

I need to talk to him about a suspension install/alignment for me. I just... don't feel like doing it.

Where are you located?

I know an awesome guy in Louisville area that I would trust to tune anything, but I don't know how busy he is. He uses a Dyno Dynamics, which is awesome.

HHammerly 03-24-2014 12:01 AM

I am I NW Indianapolis just north of the golf course where Raceway road ends.
I'd be interested to talk to the guy in Louisville if you can send me a private message with his info.
Where do you live?

concealer404 03-24-2014 12:04 AM

I'm in Southport. Let me see if he's got some time and will be willing to mess with a Megasquirt.

What's your wanted time frame?

HHammerly 03-24-2014 09:18 AM

Middle of next month if I get the MS here this or next week, I want to put some miles on the car and get the fuel close before the dyno work.

jrmotorsports55 06-08-2014 06:59 AM

Did you ever talk to Pure Tuning? I'm thinking of going with them for my tune.

Thanks,

Jason

I have an appointment with them for June 17th, I cannot wait to see how the car runs after the tuning, virtual dyno is saiyng that the car is making 215HP @ 6300 rpm 199 lfpt @ 5114 @ 9.5 psi

jrmotorsports55 06-08-2014 08:44 AM

Cool. I'm calling them tomorrow to set up my appointment. Please let me know how things go with you. I'm going for 18psi/8000 rpm as my limits (yes, it's a very built engine).

Jason

HHammerly 06-08-2014 09:07 AM

I talked to them a couple of times untill we could get our schedules to work out, they were usually booked a month out.
Plan on tunning for all the boost it will handle on pump gas and running a few psi below that to have some head room but with a stock head i will stay at 7000rpm.
I will be taking the car on a dolley just in case something goes wrong LOL...
Are you in the Indy area?

jrmotorsports55 06-08-2014 09:18 AM

Yeah, those are my tuning limits, I'll probably keep it at 7500/16psi for street duty (traction is already an issue at a rough tuned 8 psi).

I'm in Cleveland, OH.

Ben 06-15-2014 07:17 PM

Several people have told me that Aaron at Pure did a great job tuning their car. Have fun on the dyno Tuesday.
