Default MSPNP Flat Shift problem

Hi guys,

I searched for a solution to this problem already and found this thread, but no resolution.

I wired in the launch control today (connected pins 12 and 13 together) as per the MSPNP documentation but it didn't work. I connected one wire of the clutch switch to ground, and the other wire to pin 12 on the MSPNP centre connector.

After I did this, launch control works as it should and only arms when the clutch is pressed down.

The problem is that flat shift is kicking in even though the clutch isn't pressed down. For example I can be accelerating in any gear and when it gets to around 5700rpm the flat shift intervenes and prevents it revving any higher.

Anybody got any bright ideas?

Well, my thought is why are you messing with that junk? Good way to break your car. Miatas aren't for drag racing, you know.

Thanks for the advice. I've actually gotta it working when I enabled lc in megatune, but not tunerstudio. Strange but true.

Nice of you to look out for your son on the forums.

Graham, can you verify where the clutch switch actuates?

Also, could you please post a copy of your MSQ?
