Mspnp is runs:) like crap:(

1990 miata with 1997 motor
mspnp9093 with vtps mod
No iac hooked up yet

Starts and idles but runs like garbage. idle jumps around. AFRs jump from 15.9 to 16.8ish somtimes jump to 17.2 for a second...

engine also moves allot prolly just dew to the eratic idle

Where do i start on the path to getting running good:
upload datalog for advice... (how)?
Better base map for 1.8.....(how)?
idle controll?... mspnp run iac (how?)

How much vacuum does it pull at idle?

Set the timing first.

Hahnlsquid 03-25-2013 09:42 PM

I set the timing by to 10deg...going into tunerstudio it says the base is 17deg...if i change this will the map auto correct and populate the cells? or will i need to go and change each cell?

oh lawd

just take it to a pro.

seriously.

or go read every single thread about MS as well as the megamanual and all the DIYautotune writeups.

If you're that clueless you really shouldn't be "tuning" the car.

And I really mean no offense by this.

Please read, comprehend, and carry out the section on setting the base timing in the MSPNP installation guide.
