MSPNP2 AEM wideband how to link

Hey guys, I just got my mspnp2 installed, first start, all that good stuff. Now how do I plug my aem wideband into the mspnp? I have four wires coming out of the wideband a power, a ground, a white wire (0-5v linear output), and a blue wire which is a serial output. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the white wire should be soldered in to the input on the serial port for 02 sensor. Should I disconnect the factory narrowband input, that comes into the oem harness? This is what I interpret from the instructions, just wanted to double check.

"the aem has four wires....correct?

black red white and blue.

black is ground, MS has plenty of those (even the frame, block, etc.)

red is power, MS has plenty of those

white goes to O2. So you either splice into the wire for it and disconnect the O2 sensor. Or leave it installed and simply cut the O2 wire (pink) and wire it to the White AEM wire.

blue is unused."

found this by braineack but should I wire the signal to the serial input or into the factory harness?

The MSPNP2 supports many common wideband oxygen sensor systems, including the Innovate Motorsports LC-1 and MTX-L products, the Zietronix ZT-2 and ZT-3 (among others), and most other systems that provide a programmable analog voltage output. You will need to install the controller according to the manufacturer's directions and then connect the MSPNP2 to a programmable analog output from the wideband sensor's controller. You should ground the wideband to the engine block near the factory ECU ground wire to ensure an accurate reading.
There are two ways of connecting the controller to the MSPNP2. You can either connect the analog output to the pin labeled Oxygen Sensor input of the option connector, or you can cut and splice the oxygen sensor signal wire to the analog output. If you use this pin for wideband input, you must disconnect the stock oxygen sensor. Do not ground the oxygen sensor wire if you disconnect it; leave it completely unconnected and taped off if necessary (make sure it can't short to ground or anything else).
After connecting the wideband sensor controller, you will need to change a few settings on the MSPNP2. Section Four has the details of how to change this

They hit the nail on the head. btw, if your AEM is a 30-4100 wideband here are the settings you need for MS:

manually config wideband 30-4100
For gasoline
volts 0.00 = 10.0 afr
volts 4.99 = 19.98 afr

Sweet thanks man should be able to do it this evening

were you able to get your wideband working?

MeowMeowTurbo 03-12-2014 02:36 PM

Yes I sure did I ran the power and ground off of the stereos 12v ignition source and ground, hooked the 02 signal into the pnp unit via the optional connector. The only step I have left is to unhook the factory narrowband from the pnp unit and configure the input for the wideband. What color wire am I looking for? I have heard solid pink, the factory narrowband 02 wire.

Im not for sure. I cut the wire between the narrowband sensor and the connector plug and then wired the signal wire up to it.

make sure you use the white wire from the AEM wideband.

I guess ill wire it into the harness. I used the optional connector idk if I like the extra connector.

Tap into wires on stock ecu harness

Does anybody know if you can tap into power from the existing 4 wires for the narrowband sensor? I have wired my white wire to the signal in the wiring harness but am left with 3 other empty wires. I have downloaded the wiring diagram for my 99 but am not sure what 2 go to the heater grounds and what or if there is a power signal.
